Bargain price I don't know how old mine is but at that price it's worth 30 odd quid to have peace and mind during the winter
When I was getting one of these batteries 6 months ago the AA man picked up 3 of these batteries so they can't be that bad.3 year guarantee as well.
I've used these for years in small engined petrol cars (Renault 5 and Micra K12), and never had any issues. Not sure how well they'd fare with larger modern cars full of gadgets.

Anyone know if there'd be much difference between the 2 below ? Its for a Citroen Xsara Picasso Exclusive 1.6, 06 plate.

Thanks

I think its just down to the capacity and looking at my current battery the dimensions are the same as the bigger one.

Also the Discount code quoted is giving 15% not 25.

I bought my Audi A4 2009 battery yesterday for the same amount. 3 year guarantee. Receipt kept in glovebox as I can't believe a £31 battery will last in my diesel Audi for 3 years. But happy to rock up and claim a new one if it fails.

The 027 has 50% more capacity than the 063 but they are slightly different in physical size
You pay about 42% more on this site for the equivalent Bosch S5. The S5 has 40% more warranty i.e. 5 years, not 3.

I'd go for the Bosch any day as they usually last as long as decent OEM batteries which is about 6 years and perform better in the cold than cheap Chinese ones
5% quidco as well

Simple terms
"Batteries are rated according to their Amp Hours and Cold Cranking Amps. Loosely, Amp Hours is how long the battery will last if it’s not re-charged; Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) is the power they have to turn the engine over sufficiently to get it started in cold conditions. Diesel engines for example need more cranking power than petrols. There’s little point forking out for a battery with a high CCA for a small capacity petrol engine".
Can I hook this up to the nipples of a terrorist and demand he gives me answers? Is it powerful enough to make him talk?

"perform better on a cold day" Ridiculous statement, but you go ahead and pay 42% more. Country of manufacture means nothing, only CCA and total amps
Paid £55 for mine vw golf 150 03 reg from euro car parts same make. Happy with that.
If using a Cashback site use promo code Xmas instead, still gives 15% but is listed on the sites so should be ok to use alongside cashback, other codes can sometimes void your cashback as they're not verified so classed as 2 discounts.

I ended up going with a Varta D15 @ 63AH and 610CCA for £54 delivered on Tayna. Although its not as much of a bargain as those listed (about £10 more in total for me) i think its a decent battery for the price and as i was in need of a new one was glad of the advice listed on this post, Thanks.

No deal I'm afraid.
The OP hasn't given a size number on the original post, so it could be any battery.
try car parts for less maybe cheaper
actually car parts for less not cheaper
Xmas code works as well
Worst car batteries ever made. I wouldn't want one for free.

Bet you would
ok guys after some advice..
I got my battery and it had 2 vent plugs one either side, i removed these as advised yesterday and have come to fit it today and put the vent pipe from my car into the one side....my question is if anyones knows what i should do with the vent hole on the other side ? can i leave it open or does this lead to a chance of gasses still escaping into the car, or is it just one chamber along the top and by putting the plug back in that side will it force any gasses to the other side and out through the pipe?
Its a Citroen Picasso so the battery lives under the passenger seat hence why the pipe is required.

Thanks.

I tried phoning Tayna but was a lunch break... But then asked on their website and they replied fairly quickly saying its fine to plug the one side, so sorted thanks.
