I know, I tried but offered another alternative to those who prefer a hoodie with this crappy weather. The hoodie is at least worth more than the SAVEME75 savings on one battery purchase.

I could post another thread if it appeases you but can't be ass.:)

Concerned that it doesn't say anywhere in the description or the picture that it's actually 12V like all car batteries (although when charged they can read at 19V and discharged around 9V).

Not sure it's a lithium battery, as it says "Calcium-Calcium" on the label. Had to google wtf that was. Looks like a promising technology, but as most of the articles on it are very recent I'm surprised it would be on the shelves so soon.

Meh for 20 take a dive if you have the cash to spare. It probably will be able to handle what your alternator gives it without exploding, but beware the colder months (sub zero) as Li-ion batteries (again, assuming that's what this is) don't fare well at lower temps.

Its Lion brand.

You didnt honestly expect a lithium ion cell that size for 20 odd quid did you lol

And not sure where you got 19v from. Car batteries are 12v and drop when discharging. Alternator charges at 14.5v

Did you get the 10% TCB it tracked for me, unfortunately the Hoodie in Medium is no good for me as I'm a bodybuilder size XXL, alright for my 13 year old daughter I suppose.

Don't need it but should track as long you don't have any ad blocking apps. Just remember that TCB only approved codes that they authorised but you should always treat cashbacks are bonuses as they're not guaranteed until the merchant is happy to payout.

Not sure about your daughter would be pleased with free hoodie with Lion Batteries logo on it X) but you could sew some embroidered patch badges like below. Just remove the Lion Batteries logo, stitch marks will show but patch it with embroidered badge.:)

You sure have a lot to say for someone that seems to know nothing about batteries / the deal.

ordered wrong one!! its past 6pm so helpline closed. how easy is it to cancel with CP4L?

Make sure you keep the receipt,I bought a Lion battery from Euro Parts last year and it only lasted eleven months.Couldn't find the receipt,so had to buy an other one.But bought it from local garage and have made sure to put receipt safe.

lol, I read it as 'carpetsforless' I wondered why they were selling batteries....

I think its better to pay a bit extra for a Bosch. Some of these cheaper batteries don't last long.

This is rubbish

Buy Bosch or Varta Silver. I'd only be tempted with one of these if they gave away free jump leads!

A lithium car battery for 20 quid would be quite a find. Of course it isn't, it's a lead-acid battery. And if your car battery ever reaches 19v, you've got a very knackered voltage regulator in your alternator, and quite likely a battery which is about to explode.

Another well thought out and helpful post. Thanks.

I know its cheap but this is a bargains site and keep the receipt and use the 3 year guarantee like a Boss.

Ironically, it is this exact battery I needed for my MR2 which I bought yesterday and is now in the car. Cost £45.

I've just ordered one as its also the same size for my Wife's Golf Cabrio and that needs one too. Used the code (didnt fancy the hoodie) 10.1% cashback and paid for using Paypal which hass my 2% Cashback Amex attached to it. All in all this battery will have cost me less than £20 in real money. Heat for this deal from me.

MR2 for £45? Bargain

Just get the right battery for your car. Calcium are not a direct replacement for other batteries as their charging characteristics are different. I could write more but I will just give anyone who is interested a link batteryfaq.org

These batteries don't appear to work well in my experience - they seem not to hold charge very long or their stated capacities are not quite there

I needed a new battery in February last year and the garage put on of these in. I had to call out the RAC in November who said it needed replacing and that Lion were rubbish batteries. However, although I still had the receipt, the stupid RAC man took the battery away so I couldn't get my money back.

I have to put a new one in my 7 series bmw - nightmare as it not only has to be registered you can not get the same speck as the original so you have to program for the adjustments - the amount of problems you can get just from changing the battery on this car is amazing (almost writes the car off if done wrong)
