That three year guarantee will come in handy when you're in a cold dark car park with a car that won't start.....
That's a good charge for one of those
I'd rather pay a little extra and get one with a 5 year guarantee, at least that will be nearer the time it will start having problems
Great price for those who are budget sensitive!

that's why we're all on this site
The more amp hours the better, this is only 70 amp hours and the more cranking amps the better. This cheap for what is but I prefer higher spec , and the name does not matter if the spec is right.
Clever brand name, I was looking and thinking Lithium-ion battery for a car neat.

Nitro was good enough to post his find thinking a cheap battery might help someone out.Let's say you've got a vehicle that's been off the road for a while and it's battery is fubar. You just want to move the car and aren't looking to spend £150 on a super dooper, s***t loads of amp hours, crank your balls off, 1.21 giga watt, look at the size of mine, beast. £30, bang, job done.Maybe you're in a tight spot in a cold dark car park and your current battery went t*ts up. No problem, you bought that £30 job nitro posted on UKHD, it's in the boot as a backup. Pop it in and off you go (Christ we're back to dogging again). No offence to 5lugger, just having a laugh, but nitro is only posting what he thought might be of use to someone and I for one appreciate it and all the other deal finders that do likewise.

I imagine nitro228 is big enough to speak for himself. The more important thing is it's getting loads of heat so there's no problem here.
great deal! i use this brand and never had a fault. just put one in my insignia heat added

Well its a bonus it died within its warranty! It right **** me off when I pay through the nose for a 5 year warranty and it dies at month 62.
Thanks
If u recycle ur old batteries im sure u get some money

Where is the breakers yard? Is it £15 I doubt it? Have they got the battery size you want? Something tells me they don't have a customer service department to let you know before you turn up. Just some bloke with a roll up hanging out the side of his mouth that charges whatever he thinks he can get away with for a battery that's come out of a right off. The last thing I'd by from a scrappy is a car battery. Yeah they'll test it but will it hold a charge for more than a day. Still at least you'll get a fiver back that might just cover the fuel costs for the wasted couple of trips.

Nah.. for £30 and a 3 year guarantee I'll sit at home and order one off the internet delivered to my door. Or will the breakers yard do that too?

Depends on the size of your engine and what extra's you have on it - my daughter has a 2008 Corsa 1.2 with the original battery fitted and that is a 40amp/hr - so a 70 amp/hr has got to be a big improvement

My neighbour's a dwarf and he's allergic to peanuts. I borrow his sander all the time. Lovely bloke. He's offended on your behalf that you've called yourself a dwarf. Now I'm offended that he's offended.

Only just seen this, tired out after a long night in the car park, those bumpstarts are killers.... No offence taken, I don't think you're taking the pi$$, nothing wrong with trying to make a funny comment.

Interestingly, the deal seems to be a re-post hotukdeals.com/dea…355 some negative comments on the battery, however that deal ended up reaching 402 degree, so price seems the winner here, though I guess they couldn't have sold too many if it's still available???

Right, Bertie form next door has just been round. He's been reading this thread since I mentioned it to him and gone absolutely ****ing batsh*t. He's jumped over the fence into my garden. How the hell he did that I don't know. I think his kids have got a trampoline or something. He didn't land too well, maybe they threw him over, I don't know.

Anyway he's got the right hump with me now as he thinks I've been taking the **ss out of him on the internet. Apparently that's the last time I'm borrowing his sander and he and his mates (I don't know if they are dwarfs or what. I don't even know if I can even say the word now) are going up to London tonight, to in his words "start a ****ing riot".

Total sh**ing nightmare. I don't even need a car battery.
Anyone know if this will fit a Tiguan? It seems to have better specs than the 027 model that Euro's website suggests.
Thanks manta

You obviously never been to a breakers before. All of them have a telephone . You ring them up and ask have they a battery that will fit a so and so car, or if you know your batteries ask for the code type , in my case it is a Type 96 ( that covers the size ) . Most give a Months guarantee . You can put a multi meter across the terminals and if it reads 12.5 V it is ok , if less it is dying . With it on and the engine running it should read 14V to 14.5V , which proves your battery and also the cars alternator is working ok.

I agree it is better to buy a heavy duty new battery the best you can afford , but I was commenting on the post of giving an example moving a car that is stored .

BTW some of the people who work in breakers are more knowledgeable than garage mechanics and can often tell you , the part you want, is the same as used on a different make of vehicle or model.

How is that a better deal than £31 and a 3 year guarantee delivered to your door?

Post your breakers yard battery hot deal with their phone number and see how hot it's voted.

I posted two examples of why someone might choose this cheap battery over a more expensive higher amp hour premium name one.

If you prefer to gamble on a scrapyard battery go ahead, it bares no relation to this deal or my comment on it.

By the way how tall are you?
It is pointless posting one scrappy as a deal as every town in the Country has a scrappy in their yellow pages and I bet all of them sell batteries for around this price and will give you money for your old one.

I was quoting to the comment of a car laid up needed moving . I agree the deal posted is a good deal if you car can accept that spec , but if you can afford it is better to go for a heavy duty higher spec battery , whether from new or a scrappy.
Bought one today HoT !

Cheap and with a 3 year warranty from a decent supplier no brainer imho. Thanks OP.
