Looking at the way some of the players are playing you have to give a lot less than that to get one - would you like to wear a shirt to be like Phil Vickery - traumatised by "The Beast" ?

Sorry, but these lions aren't roaring and are more like toothless tabbies.

Bit harsh, they were much improved in the second game and could easily have won if the ref hadn't bottled it over the eye gouging :x

Wow, I actually expected this to be pretty hot. Lot of commentary about our boys in RSA. Guess the deal is not so good after all.

OK now onto the commentary.
Normally, I don't have much sympathy for Vickery but I have to say that he had played out of his skin before the first test. The Beast did him like a kipper. I don't know why, but Phil was like a rabbit caught in a searchlight in that game. He seemed to ignore "the front row rules". Why didn't he drop his bind and whack said Beast for his illegal binding? Why didn't the front three collapse the scrum deliberately in order to draw attention to Vickery's side? Why didn't they have a "99" call & do the same. These are questions only Vickery and McGeechan can answer.

The eye gouging incident in the second test did deserve a sending off. At club level here if a camera picked that up you'd be lucky to escape a Jail sentence. If (and I stress the word if) the Lions had gone on to win that game then it would have been a fair result. Apart from that incident, the first half of the second test is probably the most spirited display by two teams that I have ever seen.

Anyway, I'm off to buy a jersey.

Oh well, they won today :-D
