May be worth amending title/price to reflect it's 2.99 a bottle?

no idea? its not even advertised as a bogof is whats funny about it.as far as im aware its only england...I may b wrong tho

Has anyone actually tried this please and, if so, what's it like? I love liquorice but find that most liquorice items have little liquorice in them and large sugar.

people are getting hot under the collar for little reason... nowhere to be seen in coventry, at any price.

My local Lidl had the same offer and, loving liquorice, I bought some. I tried some when I got home- just a teeny bit- and it was foul. It had an initial liquorice flavour and then this huge bitter flavour came through and didn't go away. It was so horrible that I rinsed my mouth out with water- still not gone. I had a piece of dark chocolate- still not gone. The taste didn't go until I had my lunch some two hours later!!

I returned the bottles and they kindly refunded me even though one bottle was open.
Buy with extreme caution.....

I wouldn't say either of the above are stuffy comments; they said they tried it and didn't like it (which I'd say fits with being helpful to potential buyers).

And my opening suggestion was just to try and get you some more heat - 2 for 5.99 would get people interested and voting, or even "liquorice liquor £5.99 (and BOGOF)".
It's a good spot and thanks for posting, so worth saying what the best deal is as in the list you just see "drink for £5.99", a lot of people just read the titles.

It's only 12.5% ABV - hardly a liqueur oO
We bought a bottle of this a year or so back (it was called 'Sambuxa'). Tried a glass and decided to throw the rest away! Not unpleasant, just pointless...

I also find any liquers consumed two hours before lunchtime tend to have an adverse affect.

It's not called Sambuxa, it's Liquore di Liquirizia and it's 25% not 12.5%

We love it but be careful if you suffer from high blood pressure.
