For those of you that like a certain format:
calibre-ebook.com/

I use this to convert .TXT, .EPUB and .PDF to .MOBI (Kindle format)
It's very easy to use, just drag and drop the eBook in to it, and convert it to your preferred format.
Don't forget Librivox.org for audio books.

Thanks!
great post, heat.

free programming book list to add:
github.com/Ebo….md
forgot to add, on github, search for the word "awesome" - quite a few people collate lists on there of various subjects, mostly tech related.
As we have few plumbers builders and GPs , looks like we need to educate ourselve
Thank you. Already knew of Gutenberg and ereaderiq, I use it to track prices of books I want on amazon, it is a great web site. I will find dailyfreebooks and freereadfree useful.
Heat for all the effort! 😁

Quick question I have tried looking for free PDF books on google and certain sites come up but they ask me to sign up to a months free trial (probably too good to be true I'm thinking)?
E.g. Maths on target 4
Thank you

It can be, but you just need to be smart.
If you're downloading a .PDF file for example and you get a .EXE, then don't open it.
This won't happen if you only download from trusted uploaders though and if you want further peace of mind, check the comments section.
Hi guys,
Just recommending an app, if you guys use multiple devices for reading.

I now use Bookari, I've found it to be perfect for my cloud saving - especially for getting back into the page I was recently on whilst on the train reading on my mobile, then back at home on my tablet.

There are many good apps out there but from all the ones I've tried, this came out on top.

Great list by the way!!
Depends which proxy you use and being savvy about pop ups but it is illegal, hence the wink.
Project Gutenberg is such a wonderful website!
Most libraries offer access to free audio and e books via apps. Visit your local library and ask, it’s free to join.
Thanks OP
Thank you. Ifixit sounds good.

Annoyingly though, some (all?) aren't supported by Kindles so you need to buy another e reader. Amazon not wanting a threat to their bottom line I guess.
Thank You
Thanks, always good to find free books for the Mrs, saves me having to speak to her!🤣
Thanks for this, you deserve many degrees of heat for this. 😁
I have bookmarked various pages for future reference. Thanks again.
Bookbub is one I use, one daily email and you can customise your preferences and set up alerts for authors etc. You can also browse the site if you don't want the email.
nice one, thanks
Thanks very much for posting. There’s some very good sites here. Heat from me.

Like thread above says use calibre-ebook.com/ to convert your your desired file type. calibre-ebook.com/dow…ows Don't know how to do it without a pc. If you have an older Kindle like me you can convert to Mobi files. On newer Kindles convert to AZW3 file types. I think the latter are bigger files and take longer to convert.
Thanks
Thanks

I've just tried to take a look at a few books on OnlineTechBooks and every single one of them has give me an "ooops not available" response
Awesome. Thanks. Heat added.
Thank you very much for that - very kind, and very timely..
