Just phoned round my local Supermarkets and Morrisons is the cheapest. ASDA its £39.97, Tescos (2 stores) said it wasnt in stock (EDIT : £39.90) and its around £46 in Argos. Cheapest price that i can find online (without signing up for discount codes) and certainly probably cheapest price offline. Going out in 5 minutes to buy my copy.

It depends if you want to wait a week for delivery. Alot of people prefer to wait and shop round on release day. Ive bought lots of games from Zavvi recently (since i have a dozen 10% codes), but they have let me down too often. The Blazblue fiasco was the last straw.
I wish i went for the Bee.com deal cause that was £29.99 and most got their copy yesterday. If you want the game within the next few days, then this is the cheapest. I dont mind if its an extra couple of quid.

Cheers, will get this on my way home if there are any left!

Yes you can get it cheaper if you have a code and get it online, if you don't mind spamming your friends or cheating the system. So you get it online, they might send it out today, they might not. You might get it tomorrow, but chances are you're getting it Monday at the earliest

Games from Zavvi usually take 6-8 days to arrive for me. That said Play arnt much better, and Amazon who used to be quickest (especially when they used indigostarfish) are now the slowest and unreliable. If i do order online, its usually from shopto.
Edited by: "omisnad" 21st Jan 2011

But Shopto send things recorded! Which for me means getting a card through my door and then needing to wait 24 hours to be able to collect it. They do however generally send a game so it gets to you on Wednesday

Tell me, if you wanted it day of release why did you wait till last minute to even look for a deal? If you preorderd from Zavvi it would have been there TODAY for £32, so wanting today is no excuse to say Zavvi is not better.

Maybe, like I experienced, most shops wouldn't be drawn on the pricing before release? Maybe, the OP doesn't like online shopping? Maybe you need an attitude adjustment - that wasn't a question BTW

Oooh excellent thank you. Anyone know what it is in Sainsburys?
I didn't even see the Bee.com deal and the Zavvi only came in the last few days so I decided to find it on launch day. £34.99 fine by me!

I could of pre-ordered, but had Gauranteed the Kids would have it on release day...and only way can gaurantee that is in-store. Yes, likelihood is pre-order would have turned up on day or even day before, but always chance postal hold ups etc.

its 39.99 in sainsburys
waiting for it to come down a bit before i use the 10.00 pound voucher they gave me for their ps3 ea active mispricing last week

Game will be a tenner very soon.

Great bargain price at Kays Catalogue for only £55!!!!

I hate these sort of firms who take advantage of the very
people who cant afford much anyway

ROBBING BAR STEWARDS grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Heat from me as I used my mums discount card and got a further 10% off making it £31.49....bargain! (Cheaper than Zavvi without the hassle)

Cheers, I doubt my local will have it but it's the closest thing to my house.
I work in Lewes so might go out at lunch, but I think the only place here that will sell it it Argos. Not paying £55.

I doubt that very much!

i would honestly say wait a few weeks or so till price shoots down it will be 17.99 in a month or two like the last one

Maybe, maybe not...either way first LBP disc has & still is loaded up pretty much every day by kids (I know - should get them out more) so feel I am gauranteed value for money even at £40. Also, most people picked up first one (because cheap) and liked it, so will be more anticipation for this sequal so could well hold price.

Same, hoping they do the same for Killzone 3 X)

No Morrisons in N.I any more and I keep missing out on these great deals!!!

If its anything like LBP1, it very well maybe. That was down to under £10 in mere weeks.

Once again, very different situation. LBP1 was a slow burner because it was new, but it ended up selling very well in the end. The anticipation for #2 is huge.

I personally don't think this game is worth more than £25. Its just a bunch of mini games to me.

if your kids play lbp1 every day, why fork out £40 more for basically extra creator tools when you could easily wait a month or so and probably get it less than £20?

no way! LBP was one of the highest anticipated games. Hardly seen lbp2 get any mention on game sites especially when it comes out around the same time as KZ3 and Dead Space 2. I can easily see this being sub-£20 by mid march of earlier

They haven't promoted this one anywhere near as much from what I can see so I imagine they see it as established but it did seem to sneak up without much buzz. I might wait seeing as I have and epic list of unfinished games, otherwise I'd be going to get this deal today.

no its alot easier than that. read this thread LITTLE BIG PLANET FOR £32.17 @ ZAVVI £32.17 WHICH IS £2.82 CHEAPER THAN THIS DEAL

It's nice to see the deal getting the heat it deserves regardless of some of the comments posted on here

I got mine delivered from Game yesterday. (£44.95 collectors edition.)

Only ordered it on Tuesday (I forgot)

Forgot - heat added for this deal

Hype for the first one was unbeliveable, they even bundled it with specially package consoles and that fell in price sharply so this one will likely follow. The amount they generate in revenue from DLC should dictate a lower RRP for the game surely.
