I'm hoping it will, plenty of indie games I'd like to play on the go but …I'm hoping it will, plenty of indie games I'd like to play on the go but not for £15-20 over the odds.

I'm disliking Nintendo's open house for indie games lately. There are some really p*ss poor games being released for the Switch (like real bad games).

Then you got this Nintendo tax for digital games as well.

Knights of pen and paper, which was a £2 android game which became free. They're wanting £15 for when it releases on the Switch...
Man, it never get old the Switch tax, eh?

edit: I think I paid about a tenner for the complete edition last year for PC...

Yep, now if only that new fangled mobile Steam Link would go over 4G/External Wi-Fi..

I got this and inside on release for £14 from gog. Inside was fantastic but little nightmares just has real fundamental design flaws that hurts it. I thought it was... Okay, but lacks polish.
A simple example is Inside is 2.5D, little nightmares is fully 3D yet pulls the camera back for cinematic effect during moments where you are walking along a pipe you can fall off with a single wrong movement.
Simple things like that where very frustrating.

Anyway, the price is the killer. New release with another great game for £14 or £30 for an okay game. Don't pay the Nintendo tax

EDIT:This version includes the DLC. Mine did not

Well just don't buy it then. It really is as simple as that.

There's always that one pc gamer keen to prove to everyone how good they really are.....
Fantastic game, awful switch price
Hurry up with that jailbreak.
It's about £20 on the Russian eshop. Still too much money for such a short game.

They're not saying how good they are, they're pointing out that this is three times the price.

Erm, I do HAVE a Switch you know...

My boys also love playing it.

But how can I justify (as said above) paying 3 times more for an old game just to play it on the move (hence my comment about the recently released Steam Link app)?

Nintendo unfortunately are just on the money grab, and other developers are following suit.

I bought it yesterday and it looks lush on switch, playing in handheld mode is great. Only issue is loading times are v bad, pretty horrid when you get to a tricky but where you die a lot and sit through 20-30 seconds a time to respawn.
still a v nice game though, heat

That's why I buy only exclusive games for the Switch. Prices of indie games and third party titles are ridiculous. Indies -> PC, AAA titles -> PS4

I agree. I do try to buy my Switch exclusives from other regions if poss as well, saves some cash.

To be fair I picked up Rocket League fairly cheap, runs like a dog though - I can't understand all the love for it on Switch. I don't care if I get accused of being PC master race again but it's pretty much impossible to enjoy it on Switch when you've been running it buttery smooth on PC.

If you don't think it's worth it, vote cold. But don't compare it to something different. It may be the same game, but this is a physical copy, which as you say can be used on the go. If you still don't think it's worth it, fair enough, but why compare apples to oranges?

Going by your logic it's acceptable to up the prices for no good reason. Complaining = changes..

Same argument with loot boxes.
Crazy price for a 2 hour game. COLD

I did vote cold, as it would seem have many others.

And I'll compare it if I like thanks. Hardly apple to oranges goodness me, get the use of the comparison in context!

The game is similarly overpriced on the eshop, £20 looks the cheapest on the Mexico store.

No, a company can try and charge whatever they like for their products and services. If they aren't worth it, and the public don't buy it, they'll go bust, or be forced to lower their prices. People keep harping on about the 'Nintendo tax', but you're under no obligation to buy this, so there is no 'tax'. I don't think this is worth it, by the way, which is why I haven't bought it.

Would you compare the cost of tyres for a Fiat Panda to the cost of tyres for a Range Rover Sport. A lot of people spend £1000's on gaming pc's and laptops, then come on here comparing the prices of games with a £250 console. I appreciate that this game isn't good value, I haven't bought it. But comparing pc games with console games isn't a fair comparison.
My first Hotukdeals post and it's totally tanked

Note to self: 'Must try harder'
And they wonder why people jailbreak stuff when they charge so much
