Sure to get a mixed reaction but I saw this while browsing and thought it looked very cheap. Not my team but either way £19 for a current shirt which will be delivered within a couple of days has gotta be a good deal.

"Liverpool FC have announced the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in the club's history, believed to be worth £20m per season. From July 2010, the club's famous red shirts will promote the name of the Standard Chartered Bank."

Price drop as the shirt has a "limited life"

Well yeah but the shirt wont be out of date till the end of the season(may 2010) as with most big clubs, and considering we are only 1 month into this season its a pretty good deal imo.

LOL This makes absolutely no sense at all. They will bring out a new shirt regardless of deal or no deal, because thats how Premier League clubs operate these days.

The only limited life this shirt has is its season long life, which every shirt, bar Manchester Uniteds current, has.

This shirt has been used in Season 2008-2009 and the current season. Hence the OP stating 2008-2010. This is a fairly good deal and just for it being a reds shirt H&R added!

Aren't MU due to change sponsor next year aswell?

fantastic price, even though they are due to be bringing out a new red strip next season, with new sponsors. My kids wear all their kits with pride, current or not, as long as its got LFC on, thats what counts.

Its funny you say that, I use an Everton shirt to clean the toilet.

It's been a while since I bought from LW do they still honour the codes?

They all change every two years anyway mate. And if you include the away kit, they change one of the two every year.

They'd change both kits every year if the PL hadn't implimented the two year rule under fan pressure.

Since most kits cost £40 to begin with, and this one is half way through its two year cycle, you could say £19 is a fair price. However, you usually don't see them at this price until 18 months after release.

I guess the only argument which backs up your point is, that the cassual observer is more likely to notice its obsolete since there's a sponsor change. Whereas some may not notice if its just a normal 2 year change as the colour of the home kit obviously remains the same. Although that still doesn't make this a bad deal.

Aside from everything else, they are pretty good quality sports shirts. I still wear my old ones for sports activites etc.

Voted Hot BTW
