whatsThePoint

which tesco garage do you get it serviced/repaired under warranty at?

These can be delivered to local LML Dealers so I assume they take on the warranty and servicing on behalf of tesco too

can you mod these?

Great price this is a Vespa PX in all but name, (built in India) In answer to can you mod them yes loads of mods for them. The Vespa Px has just gone on sale again after several years absence it's priced very near the £3000 mark.

would stay clear of lml and buy a second hand vespa and most people that know about scoots would prob offer same advice still a good price

Hair dryer!!

The LML is a fairly decent scoot for the money. Be aware that the required emission controls pretty much suffocate the scoot, bringing the top speed down to the 40-50mph mark. However Vespa PX parts are pretty much interchangeable. My worry is that dealers are a bit thin on the ground, though not a problem if you feel comfortable with servicing the scoot yourself.

LOL I'VE SERIOUSLY NEVER HEARD THAT COMMENT BEFORE!!!

does this go up hills

bringing the top speed down to the 40-50mph mark.

And that is about double the average speed these days of a car, given the number of cameras and congestion. Used to be a pleasure to drive, now its a chore.

How much quidco would you get buying one of these!

True. That's why I scoot everywhere now lol!

Sell the car, get an Oyster card Much more stress-free !!

£41.98 clubcard points makees it an even better deal.

I have ridden scooters for nearly 30 years, Lambretta's and Vespa's. If you are new to classic geared scooters and have a tight budget go for this, personally i would not. I think the paint is good on the LML but not too keen on the rest of them.
You could maybe shop around at your local classic scooter shop and see whats on offer for the same money. If it was me and new to geared scooters i would wait for the new Vespa PX.
At the moment i'm riding an old 1984 PX150 which is tuned, ported, gas flowed,P2 clutch, JL pipe and a new disc front end (maintained by self).

PLUS!
When did Tesco's start selling scooters or motorcycles LOL...

Has someone ordered a pizza?

Saw a guy get rear ended while on a scooter. Wasn't a nice sight.

If I'm going to risk my life on two wheels, I'd rather spend some money on a thwonking big V-twin bike. So at least when they're offering up my organs to someone on a waiting list, they'll be able to say "he was one cool dude".

This is a photo of the Vespa Px 125 £2969. The Lml Star 125 £1684 less Quidco £72 and £41.98 clubcard points it,s nearly half price

never understand why you would tune a scooter. just buy a bigger bike. voted hot.

http://www.totaltele.com/res/image/_tto%20news%20images/travel%20and%20transport/shopping%20trolley.jpg Might get there quicker on one of these & it will only cost you a quid!!

cheaper in my local dealers i'm sure!
And how's tesco's post sale support going to be?
Hopefully better than for the small electrical goods I last bought from them! Wouldn't trust them with this sort of a purchase one bit.

Riding tuned scooters is fun, especially around town. Have owned and ridden GSXr, Harley Fat Boy and some old BSA but have always gone back to riding scooters, I guess it's in the blood. Still pretty hot for the money I guess...

Because scooters are cool, always have been and always will be.

The new LML is a great piece of kit. A lot of the early troubles have been ironed out and the finish is very good. The only reason Piaggio brought back the PX was LML selling these. Piaggio missed a trick and will continue to at £3000 for the new PX. I never thought Id see the Indians beating the Italians at thier own game.

As someone with 20+ years riding scooters and with four vespas and a lambretta in the garage Id have one at that price in a heartbeat if I was in the market.

Great deal.

Yes. You need a CBT (thats a days training there,s no test) you have to have L plates and cannot carry a passenger or use motorways.

I think these are the old model ones. The new 2011 bikes have better paint, badges, speedo, electrics. halogen lights and are made for the Euro market to a higher build quality.
jus sayin...:{

wish i'd got the money to spare, i'd definately get one at that price

This is a real bargain. Does the code work on the 4 stroke ones as well?
150mpg can't be bad.

These are good for 120mpg .... i'am tempted myself now lol.

power 4.9kw @ 5500rpm = 7hp That might just get some fat 50+ year old up a hill.

This scott had 30hp in 1929.

I know what you mean, although I was never a Mod. I just liked the scooters, and still own one to this day, although it's spent the last four years garaged up at a m8's house!

What have a fat bird and a scooter got in common? They're both a good ride but you wouldn't want your mates to see you on either.

The TL was known as the widow maker. **** rotary damping
great engine though. had a go on the unfaired one back in about 2000ish the motorcyle mart in kidderminster were selling them off cheep.
I ended up buying a 1200 bandit of them that handled even worse lol.
