No proof that such a deal exists?:whistling:

maybe this is store specific, cause there was nothing in mine yesterday at this price

Couple of days ago all I saw was loads of stock, and pretty much only 10% off everything.
Yet massive queues!

Watch Out Though
It's Getting Hot In Here! The Chocolate Might Melt :giggle:

Was in Woolies at Brighouse yesterday...the sale is ,UP TO 50% off, seems to be only on the **** they couldnt sell in the first place. Decent stuff like choccies etc was just 10% off:x

Mind you the queue for the tills was almost round the store:w00t:...as always feel for the staff...rotten time for hardworking people..

Do you think that NOT shopping in there when prices are cheaper is going to make a potential buyer more interested??

Oh and the word is vulture :whistling:

The only thing that has 50% off is cards. Though games do have 10% off which is decent. I popped in to see if there was anything good but people were acting like animals and i left.

Looks like this might be store specific as i couldnt find any "real" bargains in my local store in Birmingham..just the 10% off..shame

Nothing in Taunton store. Cold.

Cold too, no such deals in my local all just 10% off all chockie's.

I did get Taboo and a sandwhich maker with 20% off though :).

Nothing in East Grinstead. The best reductions I saw were 50% off single cards. Most things 10% or 20% off. Shame!

mmmmm, chocolate

cold no such deal in my local store

none in mine,i think people will just post any old deals now because half the members just vote hot without even checking first

none in hounslow ,hayes or twickenham , i keep hearing about people getting this and that from woolies for some stupid price , i think alot of people talking BS, the only things worth while in there sale are the christmas decorations there doing for half price , other then that most the stuff can be brought cheaper off the net

lol yea i remember when we use to have to work for our rep , anyone want an ps3 sainsburys are selling them for £25 each with a copy of lbp and cod 5,

whats that ? what branch ? little place near london ever heard of it its called brocks head

I cant believe this has been voted as hot as this. Perhaps anyone other than the original poster can confirm they've seen anything remotely similar? I visited three Woolies over the weekend, and concur with the majoirty of comments on here - 10% off almost everything, and 50% off tat. Certainly nothing this cheap! Anyway, the places were heaving too, with lonnng queues and staff working double hard in the face of uncertaintly. Cold from me I'm afraid.

Chill out people jeeeez! I don't know why people bother posting bargains they've come across when they get abused & called a liar, absolutely ridiculous, get a life!:santa:

Maybe its only stores earmarked for early closure by the administrators that have these deals. I have not seen any and was there this morning, decided to check tomorrow when its not so busy - most things just 10% and 20% off.

Nobody has called the OP a liar; however they have stated that this deal is available in their 'local' store (without actually telling us which this store is) and nobody since has been able to confirm that deal exists in any other branch.

The deal has gone hot because people have voted based on the title and yet if people read the supporting comments they'd find there is no proof of this deal being national and as such should never have gone hot.

Nobody is attacking the OP, please don't have a go at those who have taken the time to inform the rest of us that this deal may not be quite as it seems.

Been to work today at woolworths the stores are so busy there is not enough hours in the day to fill the shelves, there is plenty of bargains, I think 20% of toys that already have money off is a deal 20% of all kitchen and home and a box 12 very nice of chrismas crackers for £3.50 is also good. If you want the tat crackers from the pound shop then buy them from there i just wonder which shop you are all going to slate once woolwoths has gone

i work there and can assure there is nothing like this in my store

massive queues though for no real reason - just buying for the sake of it

School uniform was 50% off in Slough
Toys & Christmas stuff 20% off
Music and Console gaming type stuff and chocolate were all 10% off
Had a quick look upstairs - homeware 20% off I think and kids clothes too

Apart from the school uniform, not that exciting and def. not worth the Qs IMHO!

Ah sorry voted cold.. thought it was per bar.. sorry should have read it closer

Not available for that price in my local store but thanks anyway.

I take it from this comment you had some stock to fill the shelves with then? The stores I visited said they had taken NO deliveries since the administration announcement was made, and the shelves were pretty bare! One store even had the doors wide open to show their big, empty storeroom.

Sad state of affairs.

cant wait to go instore tomorrow to get some choccies... will let u all know how i get on... hot from me...

none in mine either ,just a load of people buying stuff coz they think there gettin a bargin ,when really the sale just makes everything the same price as everywere else

I was surprised at the Birmingham store - it was packed but I agree the sale didn't seem up to much. I felt very sorry for the staff and a bit annoyed at some of the people being impatient with them when they must have known they were out of a job.

But yes most of the decent discounts were on the rubbish I didn't want anyway, and I did think they'd have to do better than 10% off the decent stuff if they want to sell it all before they close down around Christmas - I mean rival stores are doing at least 20% and they aren't closing down!

The only thing I thought was good was 50% off the individual greetings cards but I was too tired to queue so I left them - I'll try my local high st one which will be quieter.

I didn't see any choccies for 20p each though, wonder if this is national yet?

I was a bit amused by one of the staff though - a lady wanted to buy a Christmas tree and he said they had none left, just the display one. She said she'd be happy to buy the display one for the usual price and he said he couldn't sell a display model! I couldn't help but smile - why not!? The point of a display model is to sell the rest of them - they've all been sold so why not sell that too?! I would have thought they'd want to sell all the stock they had if they're closing down soon.
