Had one of the refurb Packard Bells for my parents last Christmas and its still as good as new - no problems.

Also my own Packard Bell A Series is just a rebadged NEC S710

So although PB do not have the best reputation ,d for the money they are still a good buy for basic applications and email / Internet which is what many folk want

PC Pro magazine did their Reliability and Service awards last month.

Packard Bell came bottom with 1 star (out of 6).

Top were the usual suspects Toshiba, HP, Acer etc.

Steer clear of cheap no name laptops from places like Currys and PC World

They are OOS... Just had a look... There are a few GBP 299.99 ones remaining. The rest is gone
