Loads of train tickets at £29 from London to Europe. Got an email to early early access to sale. Just search for dates between 22nd January and 17th April and there's loads of seats at cheap prices.

Annoyingly I booked my train tickets last weekend and paid £40 more 😔😔

Planes go woosh woosh in the sky, this go toot toot unda da sea.

And no, there are no queues on the Eurostar. You're allowed to sit down in the seat you've booked.

far superior to plane in my opinion and not only for the custom speeds but the luggage allowance is exceptional as is the comfort of even the basic seats. Its chav free as well so no budget airline divs in sight.

is same security procedures, get there 2,3 Hours before departure

No, from memory it's either 30 or 45 mins

Still find it expensive. I paid £25 return to Spain via Ryanair
Want to take my daughter to Paris ...any cheap hotel ...reasonable price with things for a 7 year old to do x
Just booked Paris - thanks OP!
Was thinking of booking tickets to marseilles for £49 each way with the family. Is it worth upgrading to premium for an extra £30 each ticket?

Would it be a good idea to get these before 29/3!!
ooh, wonder if me and mrs could use our £25 compensation voucher each on top of this making them even cheaper?

Cunning plan: Buy another ticket between Paris and Disneyland!
i was looking earlier before i saw this hotukdeals post, plenty going out on 26th jan and back 29th jan at various times, i would recommend be aware the combined hotels and tickets on eurostar site seemed a bad deal compared with booking through hotels.com and the £29 tickets, £60 difference for same hotel

Not necessarily. I’m on train to London now. £29. That’s from Leeds.

St Pancras can get busy at peak times. Officially its cica 30 min check in but allow longer (say 1 hr) to reduce stress and risk. Normally if you are stuck in the check in queue then staff will pull people out and expedite them through for immediate departures.
bugger! I booked on sunday night...cost £400 I asked on the live chat if there were any discounts available first and i was told there were no.if i waited a few hours it would have cost 232!
I have since been on the chat to ask if there is anything that can be done as i asked if discounts were available and they said no but if i had have signed up to their newsletter, they would have made me aware in advance...so they knew the sale was starting in a few hours and chose not to help.

Bugger!
Amazing isn't it, non-private non-British train company, £29 for good seats on comfy trains to far off European destinations.

Privatized British train companies, £29 would probably take you 2 miles on a three hour late train packed with sweaty angry passengers with no seats and nothing but a sense of impending doom.

As you say, Ryanair have loads of flight from all over the UK to all over Europe for 10-15 Pounds/Euros each way. Recently booked returns to Southern Spain for just over 30 quid per person with a checked bag.

No, You can get some really good offers on the British trains too if you look out for them.

how much is it to get a return tickets to Brussels?

£29 each way.. 3 nights..
I just got back from Lille today via Eurostar. Think my return was £30.
My first time and was surprised at how easy it was.
Arrived 30 mins before, check in took about 3 mins. No queues. Took about 75 mins to St.pancake with one stop at ebsfleet. Loads of space, comfortable, no faff. and plug sockets at the chair. Great experience.
Part of the govt new brexit policy to reduce net migration. Hop on the train into Europe and you can’t get back in.
Got £29 tickets for Feb 5 for Brussels.

Great deal - passed it on to a friend of mine, as well. Unfortunately can't do multi-city, so have to book more expensive one-ways, but if I can do London-Paris and Amsterdam-London in April for under £100, I just might fulfil my goal of seeing PSG and Ajax play on the same weekend...

BTW, is anyone else experiencing issues with Chrome displaying a blank page instead of search results? Edge works fine.

Eurostar is always one way tickets. Same as easyJet or Ryan Air.

So the big "round trip" radio button is there just for show?
Buy a yellow vest if you’re heading to PARIS
Nice, Eurostar will charge me £29 to get from London to Paris but British Rail charges me £145 to get to London.

Of course. So, too, is a five-night stay at the Ritz and a Michelin-starred dinner each night. And a handy from Pigalle's finest before bed.

£182.50 return for me but if I change it to an Open Return it goes up to £363. WTF! I'm glad I lease a car, much cheaper then using our public transport.

Why does this:

Cost so much more than this:

Couldn't agree more. We're in Cheshire but have a lot of friends in the South. They talk about going to Europe on the Eurostar like it's a quick day trip and a cheap way to spend a weekend. I can never wrap my head around it. For us it would cost the better part of £200 for the both of us just to get TO the Eurostar and probably a fair few hours worth of trains and inevitable "rail replacement" coaches. We would love to give it a go but it just isn't economical for anyone north of Birmingham.

Brilliant deal for anyone who can make it work though!
That's okay if you live in London.

You can't normally get into the Eurostar terminal 2-3 hours in advance! St Pancras is 30/45 mins minimum, and if you're there before that time then you'll get the train. If you're turning up for Eurostar with as much time as an airport you're either wasting crazy amounts of time in St Pancras or cutting it dangerously close at the airport.

Because you're comparing completely different things. There isn't a direct equivalent of an open return on Eurostar, but a Business Premier return which allows free changes to Paris will cost about £500 return. Get a UK train with an advanced ticket outside of commute hours and they are normally pretty cheap.
