Thought this looked like a useful tool (over on MSE). Locate local items for sale that require collection, maybe save some money without having to pay extra for delivery or arrange locally.

Some useful tips there too.

I've been trying it out tonight, found a couple of items that I'm interested in, that I had not already seen on eBay - mainly because they are listed in different categories to where I normally search. I think I may be using this several times a week.

That's great, it's very useful. Don't think it's possible to do such a search on eBay. Hopefully, can get some items for cheaper than usual by saving on delivery.

Thanks, my mrs will love this

the website bargainchecker.com have been doing this for years i use it all the time and think it is alot better than the mse also you can look for ebay mis-spelled items.

oh lor I've just bid on two items oO

May be useful, thanks.

What does this offer over ebay's sort by distance option?

the main difference is that mse searches mainly local pick up so not as many people bid on the item meaning some times you can get a really good bargain but i find bargainchecker.com alot better

not sure, but I think you left your post code in the link

Tried both, the MSE one missed 100's of items?
Both worked but preferred the loaclbargainfinder one.

I hate winning collect only for £1, you feel awful and I end up giving them a fiver.

Thanks

I thought the MSE was good but that bargain checker is way better
MSE found 81 items within 10 miles
BC found 217 in same distance

Thanx, that works a treat ;-)

I've had people collect things for £1 from me, they never seem guilty :-(

I have had the same, normally when this happens i usually just give them the item as it seems more embarrassing just taking a £1

LOVE this!

Thanks
