Samsung have produced an OLED TV in the past so I'm sure it is possible to buy one.

You’re paying for the style really. It’s not far behind B&O in that arena. It’s been around for an age.
That's a bit overpriced for a Hisense...
Premium brand. But can't really justify 2000 for TV. 3y warranty. You can buy from JL Sony with 5y then throw away and buy again with new technology inside.....

The sony equivalent to this is the A1 Oled, which is £2500. This Tv is more then about design it's a very good TV

@ezzer72 I would have got hisense if they offer Oled!! Until then have to rely on LG’s and Loewe.

Just like 'German' cars, it's a scam;

Oh, and it has a South Korean (LG) panel - who would of thought it, eh?
Its like with IPhone's. Same as any other phone but in nice package and with expensive price tag. Market target are people (mostly companies and big hotels wanted to impress to a customer) who think that expensive equal better. We still have ONE manufacture and ONE current line of LCD screens. So nothing else than usual LG oled. Sony A1 at least done some good tweaks in firmware.
Not heard of this brand? Its not for you then lol

There's a new brand called electiq which use lg screen. They have a 55" oled TV for about £850 I was looking at. Sure it won't have all the latest fancy featured but it should be a good quality TV.

Unfortunately LG are the only Oled manufacturer. But the panel plays a small part in the overall quality of a TV

A small part, really? I accept that it isn't EVERYTHING, but be fair.

And don't say 'unfortunately' LG are the only OLED manufacturer, accept South Korean LG as the only Company who are smart/advanced enough to successfully make big OLEDs in decent numbers, or your mates from Germany wouldn't have anything to stick their badge on to, and have people like you pay over the odds for.

Yes a small part. I own a Panasonic Ez1002b. That is a completely different TV to the LG B7 picture wise, yet the share the same panel.

I say unfortunately because the less oled panel manufacturers ther are the higher the cost to the consumer due to lack of competition.

How well would that Panasonic look and perform without the small, insignificant component they needed to source from LG?

It wouldn't but you are missing the point.
My favourite car is the mclaren f1. This has a Bmw engine in it but that is a very small part towards making it the car it is. It's more to do with what mclaren did with everything else.Take away that engine the car doesn't move.
