This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Good for those on a budget and wanting to experience the larger screen for as little as possible. I had reservations about the brand/posting the deal as I don't want anyone to fall foul of a bad product just for some heat on a website, but having looked through the reviews from those who own it, this does seem like it could be worth it for you if this is your price range. Free delivery too from Curry's.

1 year warranty as standard which could be a drawback but optional covers is available whilst still keeping the price reasonable

Really don't understand why people prioritise screen size over image …Really don't understand why people prioritise screen size over image quality.

It could be because their budget is £400 and they want a massive screen.
Majority of reviews are very positive for this set, for under 400 knicker is a steal!!!!!
The build is poor the picture is poor the refresh rate for a TV this size is terrible... it's a great price for an elderly relative who just need a large screen. However if your a sports fan a gamer or someone that doesn't want to be driven up the wall by a lack of sharpness then avoid. (Ex staffer who had to deal with people who wouldn't listen trying to return them)

Also people seem to forget that when you don't have 20 other TVs around it (like in a store) to directly compare to, you probably don't care that much. After a while you just enjoy having a big TV and not how deep the blacks are or how the Delta E isn't quite as good as that LG OLED that costs 4 times more...

We have a mid-range Sony BRAVIA X8005C, it's far from the best TV, but it looks nice, the image quality is good enough and I have no reason to rush out and buy something else.

It's a Vestel home brand set. They aren't amazing, the smart system can be buggy, but they are generally reliable.
For a 65” for under £400, so long as it’s watchable there are really no grounds for complaint. I paid almost double for another 5” (albeit a TV that I had had my eye on for a while). If I was in the market for one, I’d be all over this.
I wouldn’t risk it myself and wouldn’t buy anything expensive from Curry.

Could this be controlled by Google home through a Chromecast?

It has "CEC" so I think it will work with Google home. From the manual
"When in Smart or Media modes the CEC function will not function.
For CEC to function properly your TV must be in TV mode."

That’s what I think too, it’s £400 and is huge, what is there to complain about? The short warranty perhaps but that’s what extended warranty and home insurance add-on cover is for.

For £400, I would have thought the increase in premium that a claim would create would make it more viable to buy another.
Let’s face it, 12 months maximum and we’ll probably be looking at a huge drop in OLED, due to the increased availability of 8K to the majority of the population.
Personally for the same sort of money I'd get a 55 inch from a better brand like Samsung or LG with a 5 or 6 year warranty.
But all depends how much you think size really matters!

I would probably chance it and wouldn’t bother with extended cover myself - I’ve only had one expensive TV fail ever, the rest just keep going and going! They are pretty good these days anyway, low power consumption and heat output help a lot. If it broke I’d probably open it up myself and look for blown caps or scorched boards. I’m actually not that happy about the move to OLED - they have a very finite lifespan or burn risk, micro LED sounds more interesting in the long-run. I certainly don’t need 8K, even 4K is excessive right now.

Just remember your statutory right under the Sale of Good act provides cover for goods bought for up to six years – in England and Wales (5 in Scotland). This means if a TV fails after 13 months, you still have rights.

Edit also if you pay with a credit card as it is over £100 the card provider is also liable

It depends where you sit, I'm quite far away, so I need a bigger screen to see the advantages of 4k.
This is an amazing price for the size!
To be fair Dolby Vision at this price and tv size is impressive. Stick a 4k fire stick in it with 'always hdr' option activated and side load kodi.

They use logic in Northumberland Prison and they are worse than Toshiba/Bush etc. I wouldn’t even touch this with your barge pole
Supports Dolby vision, even a £2000 Samsung QLED can't do that
Hope it has 5yra guarantee
