Yeah that's what I thought when I bought this item....no charcoal filters with the item and £35 to buy...
most people have a vent, then you don't need a filter. If you need a filter they are about £10 on ebay. Bit peeved i paid £100 for the exact same one last week!
I need one of these for the car.
Just ordered thanks
Just what I'm after for the new house. Thanks, heated
I wonder, since these are about head height (if you are 6ft) and you often find yourself leaning over to see the contents of a pan on the back hob.

* Why do almost all of these hoods have sharp corners on them *

I have a very very similar one from TLC Direct (£65ish), and the instructions say to position it just over head height so that you can lean in. Problem is if you are venting back into the kitchen and have even an average ceiling the chimney vent slots are covered by the lower sliding part! I need to trim the chimney down, no bother but annoying.

Mine has sharp corners too. I think it's just that they are very cheapy made and the metal bending process doesn't have the budget to either make soft corners or go back and press them in.

does this work for anybody, i have tried but it says code note valid
