Great Deal for a budget soundbar - Don’t be fooled by its low specs, it sounds great in a living room if you’re looking for an improvement over a built in projector speaker or even most tv’s that are less than a grand.

Bought it myself in store and it’s great for movies and TV.

Connected by Bluetooth to the Fire TV there’s zero video and audio delay and connected to a PS4 via the aux out on the controller makes it a nice addition for that as well. Bear in mind aux is analogue so sound quality will be inferior to Bluetooth. It also has optical in and coaxial.

Pleasure. Haven’t seen a good deal myself pretty much ever, finally found one that I thought would help people looking for something that’s the same cost as a mini Bluetooth speaker but actually makes it slightly cinematic if you aren’t an audiophile that is and just want an improvement with a feel of cinematic quality at a bargain basement price.
What's the bass like on these?

Not expecting earth shattering, just something to fill out the sound.

It’s good. It’s not as clear as something more expensive but you can adjust the bass and treble yourself to improve the audio on a custom setting. I’d say the bass was there enough that you don’t feel like you’re listening to a laptop speaker. Better than a google home, not too quality, but pretty good for the price, definitely not tinny!

Yeh. I like the ability to customise the preset, brilliant on a cheap soundbar
Don't buy I've had one since Jan took it back 5 times I've got instant replacement but the amount of petrol it's cost not worth it

Mines working perfectly. I can tell you that I’ve had electronics worth ten times the amount that I’ve had problems with. You must’ve just got unlucky.

110w out of 30w from the tap? Must be some sorcery

No idea how they did it, but I’m watching something with custom bass and treble and it’s clear and distinct, bass is nice and volume is great. Loving the sorcery!!

Good point. Does that mean it's actually 30W not 110?
Is there a video review anywhere?

Is there a video review anywhere?

I haven’t seen one. I’d do one but I don’t think it’d help. Sound, specifically base doesn’t really give any indication of quality over video reviews. If I was to give it a mark out of 10, with ten being a soundbar that’s perfect, I’d give it a 7. At a reasonably high volume there’s great bass and clarity with no distortion. It’s not going to be as good as a 300 pound soundbar, but for the price, the quality is pretty outstanding!

Cheers bud... Will mainly be for playing music through YouTube...

Its 30w power consumption 60w rms, 50w subwoofer, but these are all just numbers. The presets of music or movie are ok, but with a little bit of playing around turning bass up or down and treble up or down you can get it sounding excellent, just don’t expect a Bose system lol

It’ll take some time to get it right, but not that much time, but it’s definitely better than a similar priced mini Bluetooth speaker. Bear in mind you’ll have to judge the bass and treble levels by ear cause there’s no display, so I’d recommend turning it all the way up on both, raising the volume, then lowering one, then lowering the other.

Hmm. I still don't get it but fair enough I think your appraisal of it is more important than the specs anyway. Cheers
Been looking for one of these with at least half decent, yet not earth shattering sound (although that would be amazing) for a decent price. Cheers mate.
I'm downgrading my Onkyo 5.1 system because we want something a bit (lot) less bulky and this looks like a good option

Does this turn on/off automatically, and adjust the volume with the TV remote through ARC or similar please?

There’s no ARC connection as this doesn’t have HDMI. You should be able to control the volume with the TV remote but that might depend on your TV & how it’s connected.Looks like it switches itself off but not on. The instruction manual is here:

Like captainbeaky said there’s no hdmi arc, but just be aware this will not be as good as an Onkyo 5.1 surround sound in sound quality, but I’m assuming you’d guess that at this price.

I bought this a few months back. The bass is good.

Incidently, it was this price when i bought it - not sure that this is a special deal. I wouldn't pay £100 for it, but it's good value at £45.

It’s definitely worth the 45 pounds but I wouldn’t be surprised if they raise it to drop it like most companies. If it was 100 I’d buy a Samsung for that price. For me this was the sweet point.
Thanks OP! Managed to grab one at my local Currys

That's not how it works. At all.

The AUX being analogue means the quality is dependent on the DAC in the source, via bluetooth it's reliant on the one in the £50 sound bar. Some TVs, digital receivers, or blu-ray players will have a better DAC than the bar itself.
Silly question to some, but if i was to get this soundbar, would i be able to connect it to a monitor through the aux cable and then use the monitor as a tv? As the monitor im looking at has no built-in speakers.

Thank you for letting me know, however, in my experience no matter what device I connect through aux to whatever Bluetooth speaker I have always found the sound quality through aux vastly inferior to Bluetooth.

You would be able to use it if you connect a device such as a fire tv with an hdmi cable to an HDMI switch which separates the audio from the video and connect the hdmi from that switch to the monitor and the audio out to the speaker. Those hdmi switches cost between 10-30 pounds depending on seller and quality.
I picked one of these up the other day for the same price, should've popped the deal up but slipped my mind. They're not bad at all, pack a good enough punch to stand as a worthy upgrade over many inbuilt TV speakers. Bluetooth works well, and generally an all round welcome addition to a living space or bedroom.

Have had soem issues using an opticla connecction, was unable to recieve audio from my TV. Worked fine with my ps4. Likley an issue with the TV, not sound bar.

I’d get the Logik because it’s cheaper than both and the quality is not going to be improved much with the extra cost.

If it has an aux out yes, so basically if it has a headphone jack. Look at the model on the back and go on google if you’re not sure. But I would’ve thought so
