Any good?

Looking at the specs, no.

Only useful if your TV speakers have died. The sound will be worse than that out of most TVs.

What's wrong with the spec?

16W RMS is pretty decent, obviously it will put off anyone who is clueless about audio, maybe that's why they don't sell?

Should be perfect to pair with an Amazon Echo Dot for a better audio experience.

Please explain to me how 2x 8w speakers is "pretty decent"?

For a few quid more you can get 26w, for ~£50 you can get 100w.

If you want this in the spare room to listen to music, then it's ok, if you want to use it to enhance your TV experience, avoid.

That one is 45WTotal Power Output, this is 16W RMS, won't be a great deal of difference. I wouldn't personally buy any audio product that doesn't quote RMS as the power rating.

To give a comparison the Creative labs T40 speakers are 16W RMS (cost £90)
Fantastic. Thanks Chanchi
Oh, I can hear you now chichi
I bought one a while ago and it’s not too bad. It links to my dot and gives much better sound.
It turns itself off when no signal is received for a few minutes which is a bonus.

Obviously, as with most things, you can get better but for the money, it’s alright.
Bargain. Worth a go at this price

I'm guessing he means for under £25.

I never look at just the star rating. Read the comments, most complain the sound quality is low and so is the maximum volume. A lot also mention lack of support for newer models and needing to buy extra cables.
Hot for what it is but you also get what you paid for.
These are OK as long as you turn down the volume on your pocket transistor radio so that you can hear them.

I have more powerful cans.
Y would anyone buy this junk

Bought one for my dad, 1st was defective out of box, 2nd the same fault, 3rd was last in stock and was used and scratched and missing remote... Lucky me for some reason Argos refunded me full £40 so I opted for bigger one for £49 with subwoofer but didn't find courage to open it yet.
Make your mind! btw fault was that side panels we're not glued properly(hot glue gun used at manufacturing) and fell apart.

Quality isn't measured in watts. I've heard six watt single-ended triode amps which blow everything you list out of the water several times over. Obviously they tend to be driving speakers designed to be rather more efficient than usual, not to mention being ever so slightly more expensive

Even so, this item looks pretty poor, I'll grant you that.
Would this work with a PS4 ? I use a pc monitor and it has no sound so I use very bad speakers connected via USB to get sound.
I bought this last time it was on offer. Doesn't deserve the heat it's got. I returned it and got my money back. You get what you pay for.
Just bought one for my office. Just to play music from our phones. For 25 pounds you cant get anything better, especially when you consider any portable soundbar.
Ours was delivered today; easy to use and decent sound for the price-smart looking too 🏻
