This had some heat last time this was posted at £49.99 (as original price was apparently £129.99... hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…e=2 go figure!) since then it's had a new price and another price drop so I'm in!

Mostly good reviews and if you can't download films onto the kids tablets like me and have a stash of a million DVD's then this is fab, especially for those holiday journeys...

This is twin which means they watch the same film.

Bagged one at my local store for collection in an hour.

mine, the same but dual, came with headrest brackets

Ordered . Thanks op.

Purchased these a few months back, ok for the money but will not play any copied disks and only shows photos via SD card (not films etc...) comes with brackets to mount onto headrests.

Bought these about 2 months ago ... Had them replaced 3 times. 1st pair both screen had dead pixels within 2 weeks. 2nd Set, 1 of the screens FF and rewind button broke. 3rd set, Dead pixels again. I'm on 4th set within 2 months, not the best...

Mine still going strong after more than a year. Never had any issues with playing any DVDs including copies.

Guess the site should be renamed xxxhotukdeals now?

USB slot was the selling point for me, ordered one from Warrington store, thanks OP.

I would have paid £50 3 weeks ago but didn't see it.

I still cannot believe that companies are still making these types of player.

Why don't tha just do away with the bulkiest, most unreliable part (the DVD playing mechanism) and create a more streamlined unit that plays from SD, USB or even wirelessly from phone.

Let's face it, who want's to cart numerous DVD cases around in the car or when you are out and about when you don't need to?

With digital versions of movies and TV shows being much easier to purchase these days, the DVD mechanism could easily be done away with and it wouldn't be missed IMHO.

It would also make for a smaller unit with which could be installed into headrests much easier.

At least it's got USB, which is a bonus.

I know, I know folk will say, " Use a tablet then!",

Hot for the money I suppose.

I personally don't know how to put a film on a USB (I'm no techno phobe, just don't see a need right now) and with 4 kids this is a quick, cheap and simple solution... I have the DVD's in a case that holds around 30 at a time so no need for all the cases either

It seems to indicate it can play video by the description: "The handy USB port will further add to your viewing pleasure as you will be able to add even the most eclectic selection of video or music files for your enjoyment! Additionally, the Logik L7TWIN11 can be hooked up to a TV so you can enjoy your favourite show" I have no idea either way.

Unless anyone can confirm otherwise Id trust Amazon description over Currys.Taken from Amazon Description:

Got a link to cases/straps? Are portable players a standard size, as model search does not bring up any on ebay

I have dropped an email to currys as i think Logik is their make asking. Might go for a refund and get one that does play films as a few photos going round on the screen wont keep the 3 kids happy for long on our 12hr drive to france in 3 weeks!

It doesn't play video from card or usb. But it is very easy to make your own DVDs so no problem at all.

No big deal if it doesn't accept media from USB, just chuck DVD discs in a small disc wallet

Mines going back. Didn't play anything from USB and had a thumb print sized cluster of stuck pixels

some of dead pixels are printed on the screen protector, remove it first

Can these be used 'stand alone' for kids in caravan bedroom? ie not hooked up to a tv?

Bought one today from Stafford Currys, manual confirms that the USB only plays music and picture files.....this will be going back given what it says on the internet listings....

Do you not own any DVD's?

I do! however the reason for buying was the belief you could play video from usb.....

Bought yesterday, great bit of kid for the price, brackets and earphones too

Brought one. Excellent price, very pleased.
