Massive capacity

Got a large family to feed? Then you'll need a large refrigerator, too. The Logik LSSBSS18 American-Style Fridge Freezer fits the bill. It has a colossal amount of space for your entire weekly shopping, with plenty of shelves, and a salad compartment for your leafy greens and veg.

Fast freeze

We all know that feeling of packing the groceries quickly before they defrost. Thankfully the LSSBSS18 has a quick freeze function that speeds up the freezing process, making sure your newly purchased food doesn't thaw out. It's a lifesaver if you've got a long trip from supermarket to home.

Easy touch controls

Forget about complicated settings, the LSSBSS18American-Style Fridge Freezer is easy to use, thanks to simple touch controls. Control the temperature of both the fridge and the feeezer in an instant, as well as setting a child lock and selecting from smart or Eco mode.

No Frost

The days of having to scrape ice from your freezer are gone, thanks to the No Frost feature. It means you won't have to do anything to maintain your freezer, as ice and frost is prevented from building up.

A+ energy efficiency

This American-style fridge freezer is rated A+ for energy efficiency, which means it's more eco-friendly than standard A-rated appliances, with the added benefit of saving you more money on your energy bills.

nice find! im after a good fridge freezer with a plumbed in water/ice dispenser... any help would be great from anyone
Bought this for £429 2 years ago - made by Hisense and would definitely recommend. No issues whatsoever (so far!).

Just bought a Haier model from ao.com with an ice and water dispenser. Can’t fault it, good reviews too
Bought this about 4 months ago as it is slimmest of the American Fridge Freezers, it is well above expectations!!!
Check the colour in store first, pretty naff finish.
i think their claim of 'massive capacity' is overreaching a bit considering most american fridge freezers are between 500-600l and this is only 429l!

The finish is awful. Very cheap silver plastic.
Just be careful buying an American (or any other) fridge freezer from Currys. The motor on ours died after having it a year and 3 weeks. Currys offered to come and fix it for £179 and funnily enough I didn't accept. However, it cost me £160 to get it done privately.
Can doors be removed? For getting it through to my kitchen via the small house doors

Agreed. Cheap plastic finish. We went into the store last month and looked at this and the £399 Kenwood fridge freezer. I'm sure the Logik is a good freezer but it looks like it was built in the 90's. I would recommend going into store to look at it first.

I agree the finish on this doesn't look nice at all. The picture is misleading. I got a Haier 2 months ago which is much nicer.
If you are going to spend this sort of money I would get a recognised brand simply because you can get spare parts.

Certainly you may be able to find spares, but on my experience these no name brands have a habit of changing parts half way through production and not making an effort to keep spare parts.

Most of the big brands commit to keeping all spare parts available for seven years from end of production. I doubt Curry's do the same, they just want to flog you a new one.

Wow, surely it’s not fit for purpose. You’d expect it to last longer. I know it would be a fight to get recompense, meanwhile food is melting. I’d probably fix it and do major battle afterwards.
Got this one for my Mum last November ... compressor failed a couple of weeks ago. Replacement took 4 days to sort out after Engineers visit. Fingers crossed this one doesn't fail.
I've bought this about a month ago, very pleased with it so far.
As it is slimlined it had fit through the doors just fine in it's box, curry's even refunded part of the "american fridge" delivery charge as they would normally charge £25 for door removal.
Lovely fridge with lots of setting options. Heat added.
This is the only american style fridge freezer that does not stick out massively more than your kitchen units/worktops. Its only 57.5 cm depth and has inset handles. Many are above 70cm deep and with external handles and stick out massively in a smaller kitchen.
You do lose some capacity on paper , but the capacity is lost in the depth - which in reality is never used as the products would be hidden behind other goods at the front of the fridge or freezer. This still has more depth than inbuilt fridges and freezers.

Yea crazy stuff, I don't want to watch telly on it.

Yes the doors can be removed , but the slim depth means this fits through most doorways without removing them.
Brought this last month and am very pleased with it so far. Needed an American Fridge Freezer that was smaller than most. Can see an issue with the build quality so far, time will tell. For this sort of money however, its probably worth a punt.
Any good oven deals about
Code is working on other fridge freezers, just had 10% discount on a Kenwood. thanks

Interesting, any domestic appliance engineers got any advice please?

In this case as it's only just over a year old you should be able to successfully argue that this doesn't meet the durability requirement of the sales of goods act ect.
I've got this fridge, highly recommend

Might be overpriced but my Samsung American sized fridge is 19 years old and still running as good as new, no issues in those 19 years, you get what you pay for. Hope I just didn't jinx it!

Lol they make something that’s lasted that long? I’ve had Samsung TV’s , phones, hard drives, few years max then boom, I just don’t trust em anymore..
I've had Samsung TV's, phone, HDD and have lasted years, I have no issues with Samsung, they are products you can trust and count on for dependability.
