I bought one of these 7 months ago and am very impressed with the quality of the picture so we could keep an eye on our empty house while we are away. It is always £129.99 at Amazon & currys but has just been reduced.
There is a new model - the circle 2 coming out next month - but this one suits me down to the ground - so I have just purchased 3 more of them to increase coverage.

so this is a cloud service only, no provision for recording on a local network?
Sorry I don't know how I'd do that - I use the free service where it is stored in the cloud for 24 hours - you could record it on your phone I guess if you saw anything untoward in this time - you can also pay to have 30 day cloud storage .
The q & A's on Amazon were very informative for extra information I found.
I have one of them and its cloud only. But i agree with the free service these are amazing and send alert for any movement if thats what u want. Super clear image

Stores in the cloud for 24hrs? Totally pointless if you're away for a week!

Except that you get alerted when something happens

Except if you don't have network access for 24 hours, for whatever reason.

No thanks.

ok, so from your experience the viewing app doesn't have a download video function, nothing to permanently save some event in the 24hr/30day period? I guess I'll stick to using my old mobile as a camera then, where I can record locally, till I find a replacement.

I've got one - and yes you can download via the viewing app onto your phone video from the last 24 hours. I also only use the free 24 hour service and find it sufficient for my needs - I guess that is probably the USP for this in that it is a very polished product that works smoothly with a (limited) free cloud service but if you think you need the more expensive service there may be better alternatives out there.
You could get the HUMAX eye. £99 with 7 days of cloud storage. humaxdirect.co.uk/hum…tml
Thanks OP, it's an interesting product.

There are some impressively meaningless comments on the thread.

This one stands out to me,
Except if you don't have network access for 24 hours, for whatever reason.
No thanks.
although there were some other almost as impressively-meaningless comments.

Kudos to those who managed to get a question mark on the end of their statements too.

Just because you didn't understand a comment, doesn't make it meaningless.

Good camera but my notifications have stopped working to my mobile
Got one at £68 from amazon and went to buy another next day it was so good but price went back to £129 so waiting for a similar price to get a second.
A lot of cold votes, with no explanation
