Been looking for a wheel and pedals for my kids to use when’s playing Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 3 ever since we got the XBox One at Christmas. I appreciate that there are many types to get and for the real gamer this is maybe just too cheap. However it is also a bit pricey as you can get cheaper wheels but I wanted something to last and with some feedback on the wheel. so after reading reviews this Logitech seems to last and I’ve been planning to buy. I almost bought a month ago for £199 which seems the standard price!
As it had the shifter. as no one pays the RRP.
I spotted this price drop recently and well..l am interested and may just take the plunge.
Thoughts on this? Seems a hot deal to me. Amazon, have recently dropped the price to match, but excludes the shifter.
Seems to to be both online and instore

Cool story bro.
Seems expensive now when you consider it was £149 last Xmas and £129 at some point before that

Standard price.

This is not a standard price for the wheel and shifter. The shifter is normally sold separately. Even Amazon has only just dropped the price, but excludes the shifter. Tell me where else I can get this deal for the same price or less? Would love to know as I might get some more quid o cash back. Cheers
This is standard price. A quick google search will show various companies selling at this price.
I want a set of these to teach the wife to drive. I got her onto an abandoned runway once, and she still managed to drift off into the grass; no way I am taking her on the road again until she learns how to steer.

My 5 y/o daughter does a better job; just won her first unaided race on Test Drive Unlimited using an old Saitek R220 wheel and pedals (Audi TT set to auto gear box) earlier this afternoon.

I have googled. 3 shops show this’ll deal. All are the same group. Not many listings come up for the wheel alone! Argos, 199. , maplin, 249, Be helpful here. Show me a link to your quick google search, showing the same deal. Be some help here. Just putting comments without backup is not useful.

if you were to wait until the end of the year around black friday or christmas then yes this probably isnt the best price. But at the moment this is a very good price for both the wheel and shift combo.
The review from inside SIM racing is worth watching before buying this.
This and forza horizon 3, Xbox one x has to be simply amazing. So tempted but I don't have the space for it sadly.
Heat for the price and a decent bit of kit.
Shame these controllers don't work for all formats (Xbox PS4 etc etc).

You can buy an adaptor that does that but it'll knock you back nearly £100 sadly

Wow, so because your children could not be bothered to use it, no one else should buy it? Amazing!

Yes I'm in my 40's so yes, not a good purchase for pre-teens as a present but might be good for a teenager or early 20s. My comment was targeted towards the OP who stated he was buying it for his kids which I assumed were as young as mine. #they could well be adult kids but I didn't read it that way.

Don't worry, having two primary school aged boys I do understand your grammar, just! Us parents realise how grown up opinions and advice can offend youngsters.

A crayon picture would be lovely if you have the time but don't clutter the deal with personal arguements pm me with your colouring in pic. If it is nice I will enter it into the school art contest this year33466765-iK606.jpg

Congratulations on educating me, my grammar was certainly the focal point of the post.
I for one, am humbled.

I've got both and forza 7 looks simply stunning. I just think I prefer the more fun, arcade style over the top courses and add ons. Both are easily the best racing games.
I've got GT but doesn't feel as polished.
I have this set. Forza is great with it but I am still faster with a controller!

Project Cars 2 on the other hand is fantastic with a wheel, some tweaking of settings required etc but so much better than with a controller. Some people report vibration bugs in PC2 but I havent really had that on xbox one S.

For a better immersion feel in a game you cannot beat a wheel and the price for all three is great. You will however probably need a chair and adapter for the gear stick (about £25 or a DIY job) to set up everything. I have the Playseat Challenge Seat which usually shows up on this site, about £150.

The gear stick is good but only has 6 forward gears, so for some games with cars having more gears, the only way to drive is by using the paddle shifters on the wheel, otherwise you max out at gear 6. You can switch between the paddles and gearstick easily enough though.

I sold mine for near £200 few weeks ago. Actually made money over my £129 spend. They hold value. Just sell.

Sell it while it's still at the high price, see how long it takes for them to notice.

I have no idea why people replying to your commenthave to be so rude! I think if I bought this, like yours it’d get used once or twice then gather dust. It’s the kind of thing that for me sounds great in theory but just wouldn’t get used that often once the novelty wears off.

If people don’t like your opinion/experience they should just move along instead of taking time to type out insults!
Quite fancy one of these to play dirt rally or project cars in VR, but then I remember I have young kids so would never get to play it.

Oh to be 16 again.

Don't worry I'm used to dealing with children.

Could always buy it straight from the manufacturer
Got the PS4 version of this for £150 previously. Makes car racing a lot better. Best thing for me is the pedals. Trying to lightly apply power on a controller is difficult. It's usually 100% on or off with the controller. Not so bad on gran turismo but on project cars where they exaggerate car physics to make it look more realistic it's impossible without a wheel and pedals. Much prefer gran turismo as a game. I'm going to sell mine when I complete gran turismo. It's very harsh to use. I'd use the term knotty. I think that's the way it provides the force feedback. On a belt or something

It's gear driven, which causes that issue. That's why some people opt for the Thrustmaster wheel.

I’ve had one of these for about 2 years. Use it quite regularly. If your into driving this and Assetto Corsa is a must.

It’s not the best wheel but any better wheels cost this much for a gear stick or pedals alone.

Funny, I got one and my kids live it. Play euro truck on pc and forza on Xbox. Worth the money if you speak to your children and find out it’s what they want.

aye im same horizons a lotta fun especially the hotwheels dlc
I would also agree this is not the best Wheel mainly due to gear driven feedback which can be harsh at times however at around this price this is one of the best wheels to buy for starting out Sim racing as they are very well made and hold their value really well so if you decide you don't like it just sell it without losing too much. Would definitely recommend a playseat challenge if you want a full setup and your just getting into Sim racing.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy your Sim racing experience!
You can get about £150 for a used one with Gearstick, after all fees. That's when fvf offer is on.
For your kids, really?
