Logitech Driving Force GT/Logitech G25 New 40% Off!

Just thought i'd post this as no one has yet but it's a brilliant deal!

The DFGT Was only released this week and it's currently going for £119 with that voucher it's brings it down to £71.40 Delivered! Which is a brilliant deal for one of the best racing wheels ever made for the PS3.

Also a great deal is the Logitech G25 which is on sale on their website for £199 with the voucher it's down to £126.99 Delivered! That price is astonishing considering most of these go over that price used off ebay so these deals are extact! And the voucher can be used for any other purchase off the site with no minimum spend!

It does come up saying Dell Employee discount but that should not be too much to worry about as people have already ordered using the code including me so i'll be expecting my DFGT Next week,

If you havent already got one of these they are a great for such games as Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and R Factor and other games so get them while the code lasts!

WOW 40% off, is that some kind of record. Super hot!

i think it has to be the best voucher i have ever seen in my life lol

They know it has to be 40% off as most is still at rrp since half a year ago. Still, pretty cool to even have the latest gizmos for 40% off. This is HOT

Cracking deal!

is the G25 worth the £55 more over the GT?
i think the differences are clutch pedal, gear stick thingy and paddle shifter on the G25, but realtime car settings on the GT.

not sure which to go for

same man i could not make up my mind but in the meantime i just wannted something for the less price but i have tested both wheels and they are both brilliant! If you had the extra money to go for the G25 i would do that it's just i was short of £40 shift and clutch is very worth it! Let us know whacha do lol

Wow..this seems like a really really HOT HOT HOT deal!!!

...well dunno guys which one is better: DF GT or G25?

I know GT just released...but is G25 still the "Daddy"??? As I notice G25 has detachable gearshifter (as presumably you can just use the paddleshifters - whereas GT gear-lever is integrated) and also a clutch pedal...

...dunno, will the GT being newer really give better feel & feedback?

And just to complicate things I haven't got a PS3 (yet!!!)...so would like to use this on a PS2 on GT4...but just wondering if the GT supports it well (as nothing on their website - but G25 being older does seem to support a lot of PS2 driving games)...

...any ideas guys? I'm tempted by both - but like the post above mine, is G25 (being older and have those extra features, as well as what seems to be more compatibility with my older hardware (for now)) worth the extra???

Please help me make up my mind...wanna get one of these babys!!!

Of all steering wheels G25 has to be the daddy but if you havent got a PS3 yet it's complicates things lol, Both steering wheels can be used for PC games with the G25 is great for! more options are there! lol Also the DFGT can be used on the PS2 with GT4 which is great thing, And more importantly the DFGT can be used for more games on the PS3 and PS2 than the G25 which does not get recognised as an official steering wheel not even Gran Turismo has the option but! It does recognise the wheel in the game hence why the H Shifter can be used along with the clutch but not enough great games support the G25 which is a shame, if you like to play more driving games with the wheel i would suggest getting the DFGT at least for the moment anyway and when you decide to get a G25 in future it will be worth more while and most probs cheaper! I saw one go on ebay for £105 the other day so bargains are out there, DFGT Has new features and great force feedback i would suggest reading an interview review about both wheels on youtube or online and but for these offers you cant go wrong! Let me know whacha do

Hey Marky264!!!

...thanks for this great post AND code!!! ...and more thanks for your feedback & thoughts!!!

Hahaha...LOL, was doing some research to help me decide which wheel to go for on the internet...and saw your post on ThreeSpeech (guess you're active in the PS3 community)...

...tbh I rarely play PC games anymore...mainly consoles now - and yes, the prime aim at the moment will be playing GT4 on the PS2 (which is still going stong!). But I do plan later sometime to get a PS3 - maybe when GT5 full version is finally realised it might give me that final incentive!!!

...the only the slight downer is the comments I read about the pedals not having as good weight as the G25 (everything else I'm not fussed about)...and not being metal (as I envisage some heavy abuse when I get one of these wheels a little worried about longevity!!!)...but I guess the lower price reflects this...

P.S. I assume it doesn't matter that I have a PS2 slim too - should work all the same, right?

Once again many thanks Marky264 (heat + repped!!!)

This was originally posted under the vouchers section, where I highlighted the price of the G25:

That's the best price for a G25 I've seen for ages and it's an incredible wheel, highly reccomended. I would be slightly weary of using the code though as it appears to be intended for Dell employees.

The discount code has already been posted, so why post seperate deals, it's like everyone listing things in the Argos 7 day sale......pointless.

...ah I see - for Dell employees!

BUT nick_sub, sorry to be inquiring...did you order a Logitech G25? (...and are you a Dell employee?) [note: not meant to be sarcasm - just genuinely curious and weigh up whether to 'risk' using the code and be caught out]

Thanks for your reply in advance.

No probs! I actually have a G25 anyway so no. Would I risk it if I didn't already have one? It's about £25 cheaper than elsewhere so...probably yes! The worst that will happen is you'll get a ticking off and your order cancelled. I just wanted to make people aware that this might happen.

I want a G25, I really want a G25, in fact I want 2 G25's so I can race people.

Someone convince me to buy?

BUYBUYBUY! You don't need 2 though, there are plenty of people out there waiting to race you! Save £100 on the second wheel and if you haven't already, spend £25 on LiveForSpeed (PC).

I can't help but think that my old wheel is in the loft, if I really wanted to play with one why aren't I playing with that?

I meant to play against friends on the same equipment next to each other, a bit like in the arcade.

yes i know it was posted by you but some people dont know what the wheels are and i'd thought i'd create a thread with details about the code being used to buy these bargain wheels while there of for the code of course all credit for the code goes to RONNIE ;), mines gone through fine so i'll be waiting for delivery next week, it's not really pointless to post this as it can help people out and give a direct link and attach a voucher to it, thats why the features on here isnt it? Im just trying to help and it seems like your angry at me in your next posts on here? If im wrong sorry but just trying to help a bit

EDIT: Mines already been dispatched and i got an email from UPS and they're delivering it on the 8th, that Dell discount is just a gerneral discount for Dell Employee's i suppose no questions asked when you order it just comes through as discount Dell Employee so i think it's fair to say it's safe

Good feedback Marky! I'm not angry, this deal is well worthy of a thread of its own in my opinion. I think you might have confused my posts with simate's - I didn't say it was pointless. I was only pointing out that it had been discussed elsewhere.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll be well happy with the wheel when it arrives. Enjoy

lol okay kwl sorry for the confusion :P

...right...took the plunge (and risk of a slap from Logitech) and ordered a Driving Force GT!!!

So many thanks to Marky264 for posting this (I for one, think it IS a good idea to highlight such products even though the discount code was posted alone - so good work Marky264 )

...I feel it is a better value compromise than G25 - but I admit G25 is still the "daddy" - you just cannot beat the torque and speed of two FFB motors (currently)!!! I have heard some say if you replace the pedals with something better this is nearly with the G25 (but still no H-shifter, and probably make the total cost approaching G25 prices anyway...)

...BUT I wonder if a new wheel will come out when the full version of GT5 is released? Maybe something more like the G25 with better pedals, and "proper" flappy shifters behind the wheel...I hope not...as I've only justed invested in this for when I do eventually get my PS3 and GT5 (not P)!!! :-D

Personally, I rarely use the shifter. It's fun, and adds to the realism but if you want to be competetive online, paddles are the way to go.
For me, the best thing about the G25 is the pedals. It really surprised me how good they were when i got it. You have so much control compared to other's I've used. There's loads of throw and they're weighted perfectly. It definately helped me get faster in LFS.

Ordered the DFGT, if it dont go through then so be it be it.

Mine is in transit, yipee.

Anyone else's shipped?

Also it seems its coming from the US, how much customs will i get stung for?

Could be around £60 if you're unlucky.

For something that totalled out at £70?

Sorry, was basing it on the £125 one, which had an original price of £200 I think. They'll likely charge import duty and vat I think at whatever price they put on it. Could be the original price rather than the deal price.

Think i made a mistake thinking it was coming from the states.

The DFGT is a pimped DFP, the G25 is a leather wheel and better in every regard. I have no idea why the DFGT even exists tbh.

(G25 owner and fairly knowledgeable about wheels - if you need to know anything then ask away).

im tempted to order one, would work well with grid

too bad theres no xbox 360 wheel

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but how are these mounted? Do you need a desk to clamp on to, or is there a way of using the wheel on your lap?

I had a wheel previously, but got put off by the contant fight for desk space to clamp the bessed thing to - but when it worked, it was awesome:thumbsup:

uk power supply or standard, what would standard be?

Hot!

Really tempting to the the DFGT at that price.

Ordered a G25, great news as the latest LFS Live For Speed is out, if you get a wheel give it a go. Wanted one for ages but £175 for a new one was high and ebay can be a little dodgy, hope it all goes though ok.

Are you that thick?

It exists for those that cannot afford the more expensive option. The DFGT is also more then just a pimped DFP - for starters it has the dial to change setups realtime - will be great for GT games.

Why it exists as in it comes with an extra dial - w00t. Nothing major that goes over the top of a DFP so what's the point?

DelBoySmiffy - Hey yeah mine arrived this afternoon! Was like opening a gift at xmas when i was 5 haha, Brilliant wheel and i couldn't believe how big the wheel is, It's brilliant force feedback, In my opinion i prefer this over the G25 of course for the price but if i had £50 more i would have got the G25, They are both brilliant wheels no dout about it

dandoc2 - Hey there is an Xbox 360 wheel it's pretty kwl here - amazon.co.uk/Xbo…8-1

Heres some pics to answer some questions, Yeah also it's gotta be able to hook onto a desk like my old study table cant be on your lap but why would you want it on your lap? lol, Note this setups only temporlary since im moving to AU in August lol
