Saw these tree deals on a flyer, there were others but these looked particularly good to me.

Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set for under £10.

Viewsonic 22" widescreen monitor (with DVI I beleive - but I was wrong, it appears it's not for the 2240, so it's not so hot but still alright for a good brand, sorry) under £150.

And Microsoft Office home and student 3-user licence for under £70.

Couldn't find anywhere online that matched or in some cases could come even close to these prices (only a brisk look though) so thought it worth posting.

good deal on that keyboard. cant go wrong for a tenner voted hot

Can't find the Logitech EX90 on their website, they only stock the EX110 version.

Must be just an instore deal.

i bought the ex90 from staples a month ago nearly. Needed to get a replacement as the right mosue button was squeaky(yeh silly aint it?) well found out it was the way the battery cover is, ontop not the bottom but the replacement had same prob and has now gone away so nothing serious. Normal price is £30 or £40 in staples, when i went to replace it the offer was gone.
Get the keyboard+mouse, never failed for me

THEY EVENT COME WITH 4 DURACELL BATTERIES, sorry just so everyone can see, a pack of 4=like £3/£4 so really u pay £6 for the keyboard+mouse xD,bargin ay

Voted hot for the keyboard alone also if they have the batteries inc even better.

I got the keyboard/mouse a month ago when Staples last had this offer (you SURE the leaflet is current?)...

Got it for folks to replace old/worn out mouse and naff keyboard. Set up worked first time.

Does include the batteries (4 x AA). Okay feel to keyboard and proper/large Return key.

The first set of batteries in mouse lasted them a month which isn't too bad though not good.

Old mac is this offer still on as you say the flyer is old as i don't want to go down there and its not there for this price.

How are the keys on this keyboard? Are they soft? I have Dell keyboard, keys are bit noisy. So when you typing especially on msn they tend to make lot of noise, dont like that.

Is this an optical mouse?

Yup, the mouse is optical too (I don't think they do mechanical mice in the wireless flavour anymore), and the keyboard's got a few multimedia keys, great for when you work with the headset on, so you can pause your music or change the volume at the press of a button.

]All the specs here...

For the keyboard alone this post would be worth a lot of heat... Can anyone confirm that the offer is current? And that it's in-store only?
[voted hot obviously]

We are all voting hot why ? nobody knows if this deal is on still reading other post people are saying its a old deal.

If you have an ac.uk email address, the Office deal can be beaten ]here, with Microsoft® Office Ultimate 2007 for just £38.95 or £12.95 for a year.

If you got to the link below, which is to the 'In-store Offers' at Staples, and click on Page 2, you will see the keyboard advertised.

staples.co.uk/ENG…htm

This also clears up 'waterloo's' point about whether deal is still valid!

guess its now just case of if your local store still has them!

P.s. Says it ends this Thursday though!

I want a wireless keyboard that has a trackpad/ball on it. Just so I can use it on my lap without the need of a surface.

Has anyone any experience of the range of this, please? It would be nice to use with a Wii, but only if it works over a distance of 5m or so.

By the way, before splashing out on Microsoft Office you might want to try one of the free alternatives, such as ]OpenOffice. You've nothing to lose but your documents being stored in formats which will go obsolete in a few years, so you won't be able to read them any more!

I think you'd probably need to be looking at 2.4ghz models for that distance. The logitech may work up to 5m but I'd expect more around the 3m mark would be ideal. 2.4ghz models tend to work up to around the 10m mark so would be a better choice I think.

And to anyone with doubts over the offer... YES this is definitely a CURRENT OFFER, I only just picked up the flyer on Saturday

God deal voited hot

pick one up from nottingham - lady bay £9.99 - bargain - using it as I type - heat left just for the keyboard & mouse!

ITS THE WRONG CODE FOR THE PANEL - ITS A ***VA2216W*** NOT A VX2240W SO NOT A GOOD DEAL REALLY FOR THE PANEL

Thanks, decanay. I've also realised you can only use a keyboard with the Wii in the message area, not the web browser.

The 22" LCD monitor is NOT the Viewsonic VX2240w - but the lower spec'd Viewsonic VA2216w - which is analogue only (VGA D-sub, NOT DVI)... Just bought it - taking it back tomorrow!!!!

Sorry  , the flyer had no model info on it other than the pic so I was mistaken. Added that info in the first post, thanks for pointing it out.

Or this -
amazon.co.uk/Key…8-1

Works pretty well with my media center, only thing I miss are specialist media function keys.
