Logitech G27 Racing Wheel at Curry's comes with a free Logitech Power shell controller which retails at Curry's for £79.99 but probably worth about half of that.
Should be quite easy to achieve around £20 for it after fees on ebay, bringing your G27 down to £190 or lower which is not bad these days IMO.

G25 is the older model which has the option to put the shifter in to sequential mode. Would be very hard to find a new one.

Some extra wheel buttons, adjustable pedal positions, but no sequential gear shift.

Says who?

From what I read, its up to the developers to add compatibility, and with the huge amount of driving games out for the PS4, how do you know?

Oh sorry that ONE title, NFS Rivals, which incidentally does not even support wheels on the PC version.

G27 is regularly available for under £200 and has been down as low as £135 direct from Logitech before, so not that hot a deal for the current price IMO.

Can you please tell me where it is regularly available for under £200? Do you mean its usually £199?
Also when it was £135 at Logitech, that was a mistake with the voucher which was supposed to be for a different product so whoever got that was very lucky.

I have a G27 and you can make the gearstick be sequential/tiptronic with a few elastic bands, but is there any need since just use the flappy paddles.

That only works when using the G27 with a PC right?
And yes paddles are fine anyway.

Not tried it on PS3, as long as you can remap the gears you should be OK.

I'd pop back to Vision Express and get those selective reading glasses changed :p, as stated a few posts up that was due to a voucher/pricing error.

I'm not saying this is a bad price, just that there have been better prices fairly regularly recently, so if people are not in a rush, I'm sure another would surface.

If you use the search box on the site and put G27 you can see plenty of sub £200 listings. £135 was about 3 months ago, there were also "blemished box" deals and others ordered via the logitech.de site

I bought a blemished box version for under £150 and sold it a while later for a profit as it wasn't getting the use it deserved.

The G27 is compatible with PS4, just not NFS because EA did not code it. Driveclub's writers confirmed last year that it would work with Logitech's steering wheels:

giantbomb.com/for…40/

'Col Rodgers, Game Director on upcoming PS4 racing game DriveClub, has confirmed all current commercial racing wheels compatible with PlayStation 3 will also be fully compatible with PlayStation 4.'

I hope youre right. Have you seen the list of compatible wheels for project cars on ps4? logitech isnt one of them, and the developers have said thats because sony/logitech havent provided the drivers.

Forget DriveClub, the rest will be great!

Such a good wheel, but, like any modern Logitech wheel of course it'll be good. I had the Driving Force GT before this, and in more ways than one wish I still had it. Adjustable buttons on the wheel really helped in Gran Turismo.

The paddles on this though are brilliant. The gear box thing you won't use after using paddles.

I'm not convinced the T500RS is any better compared to this, but I'd say if anyone wanted a racing wheel in this price range, seriously consider the T500RS (the flagship PS3 wheel)

Happy for you mate

Used a g2 and wondered what all the fuss was about.Well the fuss was worth every penny. Not sure what's improved with this but I was certainly pleased with mine.

I purchased a G25 for £99 on the play deal a few years ago, but would not touch another Logitech wheel. It stopped working after about an hour of use. I know Logitech have good customer service, but didn't want the expense of posting such a large and heavy box back to Logitech. I suspect very poor quality control on these.

Seems a bit harsh to make such a broad accusation based just on that one wheel that you bought a few years ago, that wasnt even the same type of wheel as this lol.

I got this while it was 135, find it incredibly difficult to play some games on PC. I tried Grid AS and its almost impossible to play, unlike with the 360 controller. F1 2013 is somewhat better, I will try it with the 360 controller to make a comparison later but also quite hard.

Question: Does anyone else find the wheel a bit tedious way to play racing games, it add to the experience but pretty bad as a way to play games.

So the long awaited G29 must be coming. Anyway if u want to splash out go for a fanatic csw now that's pricey

Yeah, it depends on the game. Grid 2 was hard with a wheel, the handling feels like it was designed specifically for a controller, you were constantly having to catch drifts and it made it hard work. You may find that with other arcade titles too, but simulations will be much easier with a wheel.

i have only really played gt6 on the ps3, and i think its a much better way to play than it is with a controller.
