Ordered this but also got an unopened
Razer Basilisk V2 from Pc world for £20 in a sale. Not sure which one I'm going to keep now!

probably the Razer, i am not sure why this mouse is so popular, the scroll wheel is slippery since its metal. and it rattle the whole mouse when you scroll with it.

I have had two of these mice. Works great but I believe they are of a poorer build quality than your usual Logitech product. Buttons jam and stick overtime and I have had two of these models break on me within a year. Take it with a pinch of salt, but that's been my experience.

I was burning through more than one a year of these also. Switched to Razer Basilisk V3.

This is the first non-logitech mouse that has the switchable smooth/clicky scrolling mouse wheel, what Logitech call the infinity wheel, which was the primary reason I kept going back to logitech.

You need the v3 to get that wheel.

The basilisk also has optical switches, which means the mechanical failure that affects all logitech mice, and the G502 within a year in my experience, should not be an issue. Obviously I'd need to have the basilisk v3 longer than it has been out so far to have a firm view on that, but I'm hopeful.

Did anyone else got it delivered on his original package with dents all over and with a big EVRi undetachable sticker on the the back? What a cowboy job, unbelievable. I bought it as a present but it is unpresentable.

Stupid price for a great mouse. I went back to using my G402 though as I prefer it for some reason.

I want to try the G502X but it's expensive, especially the wireless version even with the £104 Currys/Amazon deals.

My g500 suffered the dreaded double click issue a few months ago just received my g502 today. However I am still using my ancient first edition g15 keyboard. Still going strong. Don't think Logitech makes stuff like they used to.

Thanks for posting!... I hadn't ever used the Amazon App before, so I got this mouse for £14.49!... surely an awesome price for a mouse with this spec, (I normally pay a similar price for the most basic of entry level mice).

If anyone is unsure how to get that £14.49 price...
Firstly, tick the box to apply a £10.50 voucher (on the product page).
Secondly, enter APP10UK at checkout (voucher for first time app users)
Finally, select 'local collect' for delivery, to avoid postage fees, (if necessary).

I was going to wait out on a decent price for the HyperX Pulsefire Raid since my keyboard is HyperX. Is this Logitech mouse better?

This or the Razer Viper 8K mainly for battlefield 2042...?
    jaffamuffin's avatar
    jaffamuffin
i have both. The viper is bigger, if yo have big hands it may work better for you. I think the 502 is more comfortable and is a nicer mouse, but the viper 8k is lighter, smoother, feels more accurate and better for fps style stuff. but the mouse wheel is far away. I ended up with a viper mini which is a kinda half way compromise, smaller better proportions very light but the 502 I still use when I'm not gaming, ie web browsing and playing non twitch style games. The 502 has a higher hump and just feels great in the hand.

Same price at Currys if you have a store close and can click and collect - use code GAMING30

Tried ordering from Currys twice for click and collect. First time the payment via Amex was not processed so they could not supply the item instore. So I ordered again with my debit card and this time I got the ready to collect email. But I have just come back from the store and they said that their click and collect system was messed up and the orders were being cancelled. Safe to say I was furious and told them to forget it.

Unfortunately the voucher offer at Amazon has now stopped but I see the mouse is now on offer in Currys for £24.99 (without any code). Hopefully Amazon will price match it as I would have to pay £4 postage with Currys I wouldn't trust them to do a click and collect.

I don't know if anyone else has the same issue, but I still haven't received my mouse from Amazon.

According to the tracking number it's been 'out for delivery' since 22nd December... without fail every morning it says it will be delivered 'today' (to a local collection point) but at 8pm each day that changes to 'We're sorry it's late'... Same every day.

When I queried this with Amazon, Live Chat said they'll refund it to which I replied that I didn't want a refund and that I just wanted the mouse, but it now appears Amazon have initiated a refund anyway, against my wishes, but bizarrely the email Amazon have now sent me says I have to take the mouse to another collection point further away than the original one (as my local collection point doesn't do returns) and somehow they expect me to send this mouse back (that I have not received) before they'll refund me.

    a) I don't want a refund, I want the mouse.
    &
    b) How is it possible for a customer to return something that has clearly not been delivered by Royal Mail to the collection point, has not been collected from the collection point by anyone and clearly has therefore not been received by the customer?

In summary, I think Amazon is absolutely nuts... this isn't the only issue I have with Amazon at the moment either!... I'll be interested to see how this one pans out!
