Why did I just buy this?

Didn't need. Bought any way

Got this for £34.99 just before Christmas, now getting a return label to send it back and reorder this one, they can't refund the difference on a deal item apparently....oO

I had the predecessor and always found G8-10 a bit stiff, to the point of them not even being worth being there.

After that, the 4 thumb buttons are a bit too densely packed, so it's hit and miss for £50+ -- but for £25?! HOT.

Nice one OP, nearly bought one yesterday for much more, ordered and heat added.

Heat added.

Got it for £22.71 + 1% cash back, absolute bargain.

I use my one both corded for gaming, and then wirelessly when I retire to the couch to watch a movie. Admittedly my gaming level cannot be regarded as 'pro' in any sense however!

bought for no reason

Decent mouse but the short battery life is very annoying, I switched to a G602 in the end for the much longer battery life.

Battery life is non existent. Mines is pretty much always plugged in

I got this and a G602 at Christmas time and am trying them both out to see which one will stay on my main PC, at the moment I prefer the G602 for the superior battery life, easier ergonomic shape in my hand and what seems smoother movement.

People talking about the battery life is this on the new model 700s or the older one 700?

According to various posts on the Logitech forums; for maximum life, it's best to charge the battery in a decent external charger.

Also, if you want to charge from a PC, then you'll need a motherboard with the facility to keeps power to the USB ports when the PC is switched off (it's called Super-Charge on my MSI motherboard).

Bought it, i feel bad ;_; its too good though

I have found that out of the box battery life is around 15 hours (2 days at work) on a full charge. If you use the software to change the power management to economy it lasts a week (40 hours). No noticeable difference, but then, Visual Studio is less demanding than COD...

What settings do you use? I've turned all the settings down low and still barely get 12-16 hours out of it (no gaming).

Just a warning I have this and the battery life is about 4-6 hours gaming so im using it as a wired mouse. Do not buy it if youre looking to have a wireless mouse.

A guy seems to have solved the issue by changing the battery to a 1.5v one.

I'm on my 3rd G602 on warranty. The middle button stops working after about 3 months. There is a trick to discharge it which sometimes works, but after a while, that stops too.

Really good to use, great battery life, but this issue is a killer.

Stunning deal, wish I'd managed to see it in time. Enjoy, those that did!

If it stops under warranty I'll get it sorted, if it's out of warranty I can live with it. My MX1000 middle button broke years ago and I didn't even notice after a while.
