cracking price, great headset

Brilliant headset if your looking for wireless, paid around 52 for it a year and a bit ago and it's my go to. Battery life is decent and is incredibly comfortable for long periods of time, even for someone like me with thick framed glasses.

great deal. but I've read that they have serious dropout issues.

From personal experience it goes a bit funky if you have wireless devices nearby. Xbox controller causes particular pain at times, although can be avoided simply by playing a little further away from the headset receiver. Similar deal with my phone but I feel that's to be expected. Reconnects fine after a few seconds.

That even the half of it!! X)

The screw holes around the hinges are renowned for fracturing; if it hasn't happened to these chaps that suggest they're really awesome don't worry it will at some point, regardless of how much they try to protect them, wrap them in cotton wool and pamper them. X)

They suffer from regular drop connection issues. oO

The actual design, styling and comfort of these are nice, they even feel really good on your head for long periods of time when you first buy them. They even sound absolutely awesome when they work (nice mic too), but unfortunately the build material that Logitech used is absolute shi*e, so they end up creaky, loose and falling apart after a while.

The dongles are known to fail too.

Theirs an issue with the design of the G-key side of the headset and that's with the wire that exits the left ear to travel around to the opposite right ear.

Basically, where the single 5 core cable which is made up of 2x speaker wires that feeds the right ear from the mainboard situated on the rear of the left, and 3x battery wires which supply power from the back of the right ear back over to the left ears mainboard.

Where that cable exits the G-Key (mainboard) side just above the power button directly in-between that pivoting hinged area, the tiny cables gradually split where Logitech have merely cut a hard edged slot to pass the cable through rather than using a grommet or a decent sleeve of some kind.

The damaged wire results in a short which either causes crackling in the right ear if your lucky; If your not so lucky your right ear will either be totally unusable or have an intermittent issue so it will be on one minute and off the next. If your damn unlucky, worst case scenario and fairly common, the battery wire can short with one of the speaker wires and your headset on both sides can stop working all together or the short can cause permanent damage to the headsets mainboard, resulting in sporadic power offs more often than not.

The pins on the micro USB connector can at times come off if your unlucky, heavy handed and always plugging in it and out, in and out. X)

I'd put money on it that I've owned and still own more of these headsets than the guys above that claim they're the all single all dancing blah blah blah..

They should working in sales or marketing! X)

I've had a set of these for years and not had a single problem with them.

So... what you're saying is don't buy this?

Still got em, upload your pictures I'll upload mine?

Had serious dropout issues with mine. Logitech are sending out a replacement. Different model as these are discontinued.

Im more saying go on YouTube and Google, and get a better idea of true owners issues with theses headsets. Theirs a reason they officially released with 1 year warranty, then extended it to 2 and then 3 years that clearly wasn't done for the fun of it.

Yeah you're going to get some people that won't get some of these issues because some people aren't on their PCs and consoles as much as others.

Some of these people claiming to have never experienced any issues though on a G930 X) Yeah right, no drop connections huh ? (_;)

Don't get me wrong these sound amazing when they work, which is great, but they will drive you insane when they don't.

They're a good price and if you get a pair that never goes wrong well done, you got a bargain. I paid like 4x the amount, but if you get one that goes wrong let me know so I can tell you I told you so.

As for the driver issues these have had over the years, visit the Logitech forum so you know what to expect too.

Another one here with no problems in 5+ years. They've been used plenty as I use them not just for gaming but also just listening to music around the house. The ear pads are looking well used at this point but I've had none of the problems mentioned. Mine are either on my head, or mounted on the speaker next to me which is about the same size as my head.

Show us a photo of your screw holes around your hinges on both sides then, would be interesting to see. X)

Had 2 pairs... Sold em on to free up cash. Currently using a ps4 headset that's normally around 50 think the mic on the Logitech a is better quality too.

Never had a problem with mine *shrug*

If anything goes wrong tho it's Logitech, pretty much best warranty for pc peripherals. Dealt with them a number of times annno issues whatsoever

I've had mine for about a year now and can count the number of times the sound has dropped (and only for a few seconds before it comes back) on one hand. Maybe I'm just lucky and I don't doubt other people have had issues but for £39.99 it's definitely worth giving them a go - Amazon have a good returns policy so there's very little risk.

ordered gotta be worth a punt at this price

Yeah, can't say I've had a physical problem with mine save for the ear cushions wearing out - got replacements for £5 on eBay that were easy to switch.

They do drop out occasionally but I can't say that it's been anything more than sporadic.

Looks fine to me. I had heard of report of issues in this area, I just figured they were down to ham fisted types, or teenagers chucking them around [shrugs]

Nobodies saying they're perfect - but for £40 you try getting a decent wireless headset... At full price these were a joke. And the issues are evident on forums but I equally know plenty who have no issues.

For me the piece of garbage software is what fluffs up most - but then I do have both a G700s and a G13 plugged in as well and I find they conflict annoyingly. Recently it hasn't been too bad though.

Had the identical model G35 for years and they sound fab and have outlasted many friends with other headsets, only issue is the thin black vinyl cover comes off the ear surrounds, once it's all come off it's fine. You have to live with getting black bits around your ears for a while

Bought a pair last year when they dropped to £45. Work great for me. My four year old has also regularly dropped them on a hard floor. So build quality seems good to.

Really wondering whether to get them or not... Can someone help me pls?

I've got the steelseries V2 hyperx edition and they're still running fine etc... How are these compared to the steelseries V2?

Also will I be able to resell this at any higher value?

Good price but horrible headset
