Waiting for the "Why spend so much on a remote, I'd rather have 20 remotes for free than pay to have a fully integrated system" brigade :whistling:

that thing looks awesome...minority report style!

but i could never bring myself to pay 260 quid for a remote.

Seems to be a good price. It would be nice if any of the higher end remotes inc. bluetooth.

Great remote! My last remote got chewed up by the dog. Probably not a good idea to leave this where the dog can get it.

Just a word of warning these are very difficult to set up and get right. I had one and sold it it is no replacement for your sky remote way way to fiddly. Looks good but that's it.

Shame about the retailer.

These are for people who have more money than they know what to do with - all logic goes out the window with these people, they buy it cos its expensive rather than what benefits they get out of it.

I absolutely love this remote and I would have brought this in the blink of an eye. However, the last time I spent £300 for a remote ended in tears, so I will refrain myself from this beauty. Maybe I'll get one of it's lesser cousins.

Love this deal nonetheless. If you want an integrated remote and you can afford this, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. My friend has a Logitech remote and can't praise their support enough; so there you go.

I'll wait 'till they show up in Poundland.

On the contrary, I had the means and desire for a dedicated home cinema room.
This enables me to control multiple devices using both macros and indivdually via touchscreen (blinds, aircon, lights, projector, PS3, DVD, Sky, and an amplifier).

Add in the excellent Logitech support as an earlier poster highlighted, and this was a logical choice.

I`ve learnt the hard way that overseas/out of hours/premium phone call only support leaves a bitter aftertaste to many "bargain deals".

I have the older Harmony 1000 model (silver) from amazon, during a pricing error for around £120 i think it was. I do not believe there is much difference between the new black version, but note, these Harmony remotes can take time and need technical know how to setup.
It took me around 48 hours in total to programme the remote control to get my home cinema setup exactley how i wanted it. It's is very good as you can programme a sequence of buttons into one button. But it's brilliant once setup correctly. Loads of sites out there to download Icons for channels out there too.

At this price, i guess people would only buy if they were looking to buy, as £259 maybe less than rrp, it's not cheap. Plus don't forget to control the PS3 you need a seperate Logitech Bluetooth Extender for another £35 - £45, as the remote doesn't support bluetooth.

You are basically paying for the almost futuristic look. Other than that....nothing.

Just goes to show how little you know on this subject.
