Only if it has an IR blaster, the majority don't.

I'd press much better buttons than that

Thanks - my Harmony's volume + button isn't working any more so this is a nice, cheap replacement

Indeed, all touch screen remotes are awful, handy in an emergency though.

I've had a 350 for a lot of years as the bedroom remote as I only want to control a few things and it's been fine, starting to suffer from sticky pad syndrome now so needs stripping and cleaning every six months or so.

Err aye, hows it sticky like???

Crap quality in my experience, all 3 I had suffered buttons not registering. At this price its fine for a bedroom telly but I wouldnt waste the money.

just wanted to say thanks again.. bought 3 i bought one two weeks ago open box for 23.. now return and 3 for 37.5. Brilliant . for me they work perfect with Logitech Z906 sattelite box and TV..

Lg g2 nice idea to have remote on mobile but the ir is not strong enough to be used like a proper remote.

From previous Hamony posts, they've got very good customer service and will likely replace broken remote (without reciept)

Poor suggestion.

You can get cheap universal remotes from the pound shop

Happens to loads of remotes, buttons stop working when the pads on the inside get a sticky coating where they make contact with the circuit board. Have to rip them apart and clean it with alcohol.

Not quite the same. Vast database of devices for the Harmony.

Thanks OP been looking for a remote!
Heat added.

don’t need it as I use the Logitech hub and Alexa to control most things
but this is a great price for a Logitech remote
will keep as a spare might use it one day
HEAT

Reading Amazon reviews ..cancelled my order

Hows that? Bluetooth to IR converter? Phone with an IR transmitter?

Bargain. I have this and it's great if you don't have too many devices. I have TV, amp, blu ray player and it controls them all very well. Took a bit of fiddling with the settings to get it perfect but didn't take too long

Do these copy your TV remote, hi fi remote etc.
Just wondering if it would copy other remotes like me electric garage door.

I much prefer these to the touch screen or macro-based Harmonies but be prepared for multiple buttons to become difficult to use after a year or so, and for the ink to start rubbing off their faces.

You may find in time that the turn on feature may not work as often as it used to....

Amazon pricematch Maplin so that's why we get this deal. Difference is Maplin probably only have one in stock somewhere hidden away that we'll never find, Amazon have them available for anyone to buy now. It's a good deal, I was looking at this earlier, it just doesn't handle enough devices for me.

Just did this with an Onkyo remote. The volume key became unresponsive then failed completely. Most commonly used button. Managed to take it apart to see loads of oil on the circuit board just under that key. Quite clean and it's working perfect.

Snap, well almost, i have this remote and the volume up button on mine needs to be pressed harder before it gets the message, i mapped the volume to the up and down arrow button in the middle instead

Wrong price btw, it's £12.50p now i have one but i'm tempted to get another at this price... or wait for the sales next month, hmm
Edit: my mistake, the title says 12.50 for prime

it's a great remote for the money, i've had mine for years (300i, basically the same, i payed around £30)

I've had 2 issues with mine but i've had it for a long time
1: Randomly stopped working at one point so i left it without batteries for about a month, tried again and it was working fine
2: The volume up button needs to be pressed down harder now but it's old and a work around is to move the volume to the up/ down arrow button that's in the middle of the remote

i just checked my amazon order history and i've had mine since 2010, over 7 years old and i'm still using it now

Yup, I've used one to copy the remote of an electric fire.

As far as I can tell, the "Watch TV" button is an activity. But are the others? Can pressing "DVD" trigger the input change and turn on the DVD player or is it just a traditional dumb (as in "not smart", not an insult) universal remote on those buttons? And even then, are the volume buttons "global" i.e. operate the same device whatever mode you're in?

No, no, yes, yes!

Basically only watch TV is a macro, but the volume can be global. All done via the app (internet access req.) & very good - I have a 300, 350 & 650 - personally don't use the 650 which is 'smart' (the modern meaning - I find it annoying).
