This great Logitech Harmony 515 replaces up to 5 different remotes and will allow you to use your coffee table for coffee, rather than all of those remotes that have been collected over the years!

The Harmony 515 enjoys the full backup of one of the most respected accessory companies about. With the world's largest AV control database, the Harmony 515 will support more than 225,000 devices from more than 5000 brands - with the list still growing. Furthermore, an online site is available for both PC and MAC users, which gives help setting up and live customer support.

It features a very cleaver one-touch activity-based control where you can select functions such as "Watch TV", "Listen to the Radio" or even "Watch a DVD". With this one touch, the Logitech Harmony 515 remote will turn on all the relevant units in the right order so there is no waiting around.

The interactive LCD screen is easy to use and also features a help function which makes it easy for everyone in the family to use.

This Logitech Harmony 515 is a great way of cutting down on the amount of remote controls, but not compromising on the functionality.

Great Price and still a few scattered about the place ... Manchester Prestwich have 6 left

It's worth noting the above statement "Some maybe ex-display or ex-repair"
Still a good deal if you're after one

works great, not sure that it has been designed that well though! loads of the writing on the buttons has just rubbed off, I have only had it a few months! never happened to any of my other remotes.

Hope these are better than the 'one for all' or whatever they were called. Mine got binned after a week.

differnt league to the One For All ones, superb bits of kit.

They had a few in sheffield a few weeks back, the 525 was £29.99 so I paid the extra and took that. All new, sealed units btw.

Yup, I reckon the 525 is better value too. I got one last week.

Pretty impressed so far, but don't expect to use it like 'One for All' and generic Universal Remote Controls; the idea is that one configures 'activities' (e.g. Watch DVD, Listen to CD etc) rather than switching the remote from mode to mode. It's a bit of a hassle to do that, but the results are worth it.

Some reviews are pretty negative, but I think they're either from people who haven't grasped the intended usage of the Harmony range of remotes (and really want something simpler, like a One for All) and people who had problems with the earlier versions of the software.

eh? The idea is a one-for-all and this works perfectly. I dont bother with the activities at all as they dont work unless all machines are in the expected state which half the time they are not in my home.

used to have 4 remotes and havent used them since within 1 day of owning my 515.

The idea that people generally buy these just for the activity function is bizarre to say the least!

I have had a Harmony 360 for a couple of years (similar design to this).
You can turn off the automatic on/off feature in activities, there is an option that says 'I want this device to be on all the time'. Once I had done that, I found that the activities really work well for me.

The buttons on the 360 have given up now and I have replaced with a 650.
The 650 only caters for 5 devices, but I found that by transfering the settings from the 360 that it has loaded all 10 of my devices.
In my opinion the 600/650 are streets ahead of the older models.

I bought a 555 cheap at amazon a while back and was well happy until the screen went funny HOWEVER I contacted Logitech who sent me a replacement with a higher spec within days no arguements.....
Brilliant remotes and brilliant service just make sure that you don't have more equiptment than this remote can control at once otherwise you make want to buy the next model /s up...
Good Deal

Just picked up a 525 for £29.99. Thought it was worth the extra.

Went to the Chelsea store (www shows 2 in stock, confirmed via phone). I've been told they can find any when i arrived. Bloody useless.

However if u can find one it a hot deal.

I got one of these from play.com a while back when they had them on offer for £17.99, but this is still a great deal. These are an amazing piece of kit. especially If you have a fair bit of av and are willing to tinker around setting up activities.

For example with one button press on the remote I have it set up to change the channel on the tv, change the source on my av receiver, launch plex on my mac mini, and then control plex. I got rid of five remotes and replaced it with just this one, and has absolutely all the functionality, not missing a button.

Its also worth noting you can have it set up to control the channels and everything on your sky/virgin media/cable box etc but pressing the volume button will change the volume on your av receiver and not the in built volume in your cable box. I find this is to be an awesome feature as I find it really annoying switching between devices and have one thing really loud and others quiet. Hope you can follow my ramblings.

Basically you need this in your life.

Its also worth checking if the remote will control all your av. you can check on their website here

thanks for the info but I dont really see the point of activities as it only saves about 3 remote presses. I can see why it may appeal to some if they have lots of devices on for a certain acitvity but I just use it to watch my pvr or dvd player.

Just got a 525 and would be interested how this works. Struggling though setup at the moment....

its quite easy you do it by setting up an activity, once you've setup all your devices.

For example create one for watching tv, go through the wizard where you need to set what channel your tv needs to be on, set your cable box to change the channels, and your AV receiver to control the volume. Then once its done, press activities>watch tv and it will do the above.

Activities... Yep not got there yet. Thanks

I have activities for 'Watch PVR' and 'Watch DVD', they take their main commands from the main device (PVR/DVD) but I have remapped the following buttons (Example for Watch PVR)
Volume Up/Down = TV
Mute = TV
AV Select = TV
Aspect Ratio = TV
I also Have TV Power and PVR Power setup on the screen.

For me it puts everything in one place while engaging in a specific activity, I don't want to select TV then turn the volume up and go back to PVR.

I also like the macro function/sequence function. I have mine to press fast forward three times on the PVR so it fast forwards at a faster specific speed. saves me a few key presses.

The beauty of these remotes is you can set them how you want to what best suits the way you work - or is that play

I have one of these - superb pieces of kit I have to say.

Superb piece of kit (I purchased 3 Harmony 525 from Richersounds), with very broad equipment compatibility: if your kit is not on the list of supported hardware, it's possible to teach the remote the correct IR signals from the original remote.

For some of my more exotic devices (Rotel FM tuner from the 1980s), I had to call their tech support which provided excellent service (totally unexpected for a £30 piece of kit!)

Why can't Amazon reduce their cost which is £39.99? They owe me nearly £23 on cashback on my Amazon credit card.

Had 3 devices so far not working, although they say they were available on logitech's site and even downloaded. Pre amp - only volume worked, CD player - nothing worked and sony dvd recorder - some functions worked and others didnt. Really not too impressed with it.

you must be doing something wrong

Horrible to setup but once you've got it done, works really nicely. Most people appear confused on picking it up but it doesn't take them long to work it out themselves.

I got the 525 about a month a go, reckon the blue screen is nicer and needed more than 5 devices anyway.

Im not doing anything wrong, the site seems to list almost everything ever made. The trouble is that it asks you to input commands from the original remote and then stores them on its system, so I think this may be to collect the database from us as they go.

steer clear of this remote and logitech products, The buttons all faded within 3 months of purchase and logitech told me this shouldnt happen but were unwilling to replace it.

My other mistake was buying it from play.com who only offer 28 day warranties on their products.
