going to order thanks

Good deal ordered one.

Thanks. Ordered.

Just out of interest, does anyone know if there's a difference with this model marked 'Refresh' and showing as stocked from 5th October at Amazon?

amazon.co.uk/Log…_ce

They are saying it's a newer model of amazon.co.uk/Log…e_1

Might go some way to explain why it's been marked down under the 'blemished box' moniker....which we all know in most cases are brand new undamaged stock.

I have a older model of this and its all setup but after using it a while i found it to be a ball ache constantly having to map buttons to the screen then scroll though pages for the right command then you couldn't get it to turn everything on even after adjusting the delays and you would then have to choose the device manually and update the command, to cut a long story short it got to be such a pain i packed it away. Id love another but cant be arsed with the messing about.

I am wondering what the difference is too. Differing part numbers is all I've noticed.

Logitech site is offering the 'older' version.

great find op

I know I'm sad, but my 515 gives me a little frisson of pleasure everytime I use it. Press one button on one remote and watch as three or four pieces of equipment turn on and set themselves up correctly. The alternative is tedious remote juggling, completely unacceptable to some members of the family.

a bad workman................

why woudl you map buttons to the screen? They all map to the remote buttons and additional functions are on the screen which you can move around to any other button if you like. Software isnt that intuitive but within 1 day of use, I havent gone near my TV, Humax, WDTV or DVD player remotes again. Activities are superb. Only bugbear I have is that after running an activity (e.g power on tv, navigate to HDMI1, switch on WDTV), its not clever enough to set the remote to be the last turned on device (WDTV).

Ordered Thanks. Heat added.

Thanks ordered and I got another 5% discount. I think because I navigated to another tab before going back to complete the purchase, my hesitancy triggered a chat window to open from Logitech support (auto) informing me they were giving me 5% on all purchases made today.

Which was nice

I got one last time (for 23 pounds or so), and I am not entirely convinced. It does not power on reliably, it does not have the codes for my DVB-T receiver (well, it does, but they don't work), and it really does not deal well with the original remotes being used at the same time.

Plus the "black & white display" is actually a colour display, and I assume that the software is just told to show black & white. Just like the Logitech keyboards that were made worse by bad software, so you buy the gaming version. It just isn't fun with Logitech stuff any more.

You should be able to control the WD after you've started the activity. Just use the setup program to 'customise buttons' for the activity, so that you've got access to WD functions you need.

PS. I love my Harmony! Works perfectly for me, with TV, amp, media PC, Xbox, VCR, component switcher and DVD all working like they should.

That's 7 devices though, this only allows 5?

already tried that. customise buttons doesnt alter an activity procedure unfortunately.

Always wanted one of these - thanks for the heads up - heat added.

I didnt know what a Logitech remote was. I just assumed it was to go with Logitech products.
Well i have read this thread and am beginning to wonder if i have beeen missing out.

I have a mare with my remotes and sit there guarding them with my life so no one messes up my cockpit of controllers.
Is this what i need, want or just have to have because i am a woman?

I have a panasonic dvd cinema surround thing and an Isis HD TV, virgin box and i am sure there is something else. Would one of these take the place of a man?

you have been missing out.

you may need a man to set it up for you though

Possibly, but you may damage the IR emitter

F/A-18 Interceptor!

Ahem, anyways. I purchased the "blemished box" version of the 650 last week. As someone else mentioned, the box is pristine so not sure in what way it's supposedly blemished. Works well. My one annoying though is that it doesn't tell you that nothing can be modified in any way via the remote, you have to make all changes to anything on the remote via the PC/Mac software with the remote connected. Bit long winded for minor changes.

Hot, and hoping the 650 makes an apperance again

Sky HD, TV, Acer Revo and maybe PS3 if it gets moved.

She asked me to type Hi or Hello, in the chat box .

The woman comes on if you click on another tab or something like that. She offered me 5% after I had already added the 10% off so I click yes. Next to the price it said 5% off blah blah blah in red, but the price was still with just the 10% off. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Does this work with sky and PS3?
