What's the difference between thus one and the touch that was in amazon's bf deal at 59.99

The Ultimate is rf so can be used along with the harmony hub where as this is only infra red.

It all depends on how much stock they want to get rid off...

Same remotes/software except the ultimate comes with a hub and blasters and the remote can optionally use those, so sends RF signals to the blaster/hub which then sends IR signals to compenent being controlled. Think this can also link up with smartphones etc using the Harmony app. All this done over Wi-Fi so it's not using the old proprietory RF stuff like it used to in the 900 days, this means can also control some philips lighting stuff too.

I've had mine for a couple of years and it's bullet proof. Super hot.

I've been looking to replace my aging Harmony 525 (they don't make 'em like that any more!), and this never goes below £150. Couple this with the Bespoke Offers vouchers I piled up in the last week or so, and it's £80 off normal retail for me.

Hot, well spotted!

all gone!!

What the heck is a hub?

The hub is a central device that connects to a harmony ultimate remote or the other little rf remote that Logitech do(forgotten what its called) then relays the signal onwards to another device ranging from basic infra red, WiFi or Bluetooth. An example for each one would be a tv for infra red, a Philips hue bulb for WiFi, or full control over a PC using Bluetooth.
A remote or tablet can be used to begin the activity then for the more complex tasks a tablet would be utilised.

Thanks buddy, what I meant to say was that do you think that this hub is really essential or would the other one be ok?
