I made a video on it.

I also posted this deal, 3 hours ago, but it hasn't appeared yet. Anyway, hot!!!
Paid £99.99 for it last week.:(
Should also point out that this is the deal of the day, so ends at midnight.
I've been on the fence about this but that extra £20 off the usual discount has sealed the deal
Has anyone any experience using this with the nvidia shield TV? If so is it worth buying?
How often do other owners use the voice commands? (After the first week) I'm still in the fence about using my 650, and voice seems to be the only big improvement (and RF, but I don't have any line of sight issues)...

They are rubbish for voice commands I have one.. turn one device off the lot goes off, reading their forums it's a known issue they can't / won't sort it out...

I've not bothered with the voice commands on mine either. Too much of a gimmick and not really accurate enough to do anything. Even though I'm using it without that function, it's still an amazing bit of kit.
Sick of coming home from work and playing hide and seek with the remotes, thanks son, cheers OP!

Mine is working perfectly with voice commands.

Only PITA is on the alexa skill side, I have to disable then re-enable & pair the skill to my logitech account to get into the settings to change the channel numbers or activities & their voice names. I have added a few various phonetic spellings for activities & channels in the skill which I think helps.

Just contacted Amazon. No past orders price match policy so I bought this one and returning the old one (I won't even open the new one, I'll send it back in the same box) . This policy doesn't make financial sense but it is what it is.
Does this one work with RF? The reason I ask is, my cinema screen is RF and it doesn’t work with the Harmoney Hub and remote
Do these things also work as a wand for smart TVs like the LG WebOS stuff?
Almost got this at £100, then was sort of happy went to £120, thinking I had saved money and would wait until Elite was on sale. Now at £80 it’s triggering the impulse buy in my brain.

How does this work as a Sky Remote? I like my Sky remote, but have lost my Surround remote for my Sony Surround. So use the Peel App on my Samsung Galaxy now. This does take time, firing up, waiting for the ad to finish and then turning on or off.

Functionally I’m ok, however if it replaces my Surround remote app and is just as good for Sky, then I may consider.
Also I have hue lights so if the “Alexa turn off everything” works well, could be a seal the deal for me.

Im just caustious on if 80quid for a day messing with remote, to then not use as battery always dies and or it is finacky!

Any users have input on the voice controls and it’s @bility to replace a Sky Remote (also needs to be easy to use for the Mrs)

Thanks in advance.
Do you need the hub to work, was thinking of selling hub and keeping remote?

You can set it so only individual devices turn off with an off command, but it has to be done per device in the settings. Or you have to create an activity to turn off specific sets of devices. A lot of iffy design choices in the MyHarmony software...

The hub sends infrared signals to your devices, as well as bluetooth and wifi (and maybe RF, not sure). The remote sends infrared (and maybe RF).

I have the Harmony Elite edition and use it to control my Nvidia Shield TV,ATV4, hue,LIFX,TV,Sonos etc and tbh it’s pretty handy.
Does anybody know if this integrates with Google home?

It does, using the hub. You can use shortcuts or IFTTT to use commands you prefer to use. Or I think the basic command is to ask Google to ask harmony to start or stop activities.

I went through the exact same thought process, but the thing is I've already got one. And I've just bought from Amazon.

My thinking is that mine has been almost faultless over three years but looking a little worn from when the kids were younger and has no warranty. My plan is to sell the old one on eBay - probably getting about £80 for it - and replace with this one.

If the Elite does.come along again at £115 or so, I could upgrade again.

I have posted about this device before and find it has very good wife/older parent acceptability factor, provided it works first time every time. A bit of tweaking beyond the standard setup can help minimise other half frustration.
Really hoping for a modern day Harmony One.

£200-odd for the elite is ££££

Thanks for the time to reply buddy. I do like my tech and love the Phillips Hue and being able to turn lights on/off and dim with the Dot or Google Mini.
I did have an Harmony Remote (think it was a silver 650) but the batteries leaked and it stopped working.

Have you replaced a Sky Remote (presuming you have Sky) with this Remote?
I think the hub is around £60 so an extra £20 don’t seem too bad for the remote as an add on.

Really like the idea of voice command to turn all devices and lights on and off in one go.

Though Alexa is disobedient at times and doesn’t like to respond to me, think it prefers the Mrs (or maybe her voice) Alexa and Google struggle to hear commands when Tv is on which is a shame (or maybe I should put the devices at the side of my sofa)

I will follow this thread and make a decision. Usually I end up convincing my self at some point having read 100’s of reviews and spent hours on YouTube Videos. I end up saying...enough is enough with the research and just buy em to give my brain a rest ha ha

No the remote can send IR. I used the remote alone for years before purchasing a hub separately. You can specify if commands are sent by hub/remote or both for each device in the settings.
Ahh well, I've caved in and ordered one.
I'm into the home automation stuff (Heating, blinds, Lights) - but never really felt the need to get the TV converted. at this price - it's got to be worth a go.

You need the hub

The remote will work perfectly OK as an IR only remote WITHOUT the hub, the only one that is dependent on the Hub is the one they call the Companion Remote, easy to spot as it has no display. Logitech used to sell them on their own or as a bundle like this.

If you have the Hub you can also control Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices and it has IR blasters so you can control devices in cupboards.

Blinds? Now that sounds interesting........getting hooked on the home automation myself too.
The blinds a conversation for current blinds or a whole new buy?

The Harmony hub/remote is an 'activities' based system, the idea behind it is you don't need to switch off separate devices just switch on/off or change the activity.

My kids use the voice remote more than anyone.

"alexa, switch nick hd"

"alexa, switch to boomerang"

I've set up an activity for kids tv, so my youngest who is 4 can just say "Awexa, turn on kids TV" & it switches the TV on, av receiver on, sky box on, led lighting on, & turns to boomerang. I have it set to turn the sky box on first & change channel too, that way if it was on a movie channel or something she won't get a glimpse of anything potentially adult before it changes channel.

I absolutely love love harmony remotes. Without it I'd have five remotes I'd need to use constantly, & that doesn't even factor in trying to train the wife & kids how to use it.

Also, the alexa thing is great for people babysitting or house minding, they don't have to touch the remote, just ask alexa.
Btw, for those of you who are more technically minded, there's a way to set your own skill up for kodi, so you can say "alexa, ask kodi to play star wars (or whatever music, TV show or film you want to watch or listen to)" which is just ace.
How did you get it so you don't have to say: "alexa, tell harmony to..."

I'm fully aware of that have a denon amp with power toggle it turns it off ok then turns it back on, done via an activity..
Sky and my TV refuse to play well. Have you actually read the forums?

I’ve got the elite and my activities sometimes play up. Will activate the Xbox activity and sometimes it switches on the PS4 instead. Or will say to watch sky and it turns the tv to freeview input. Not sure what it is, and no amount of fiddling with the sequence / timing of the activity fixes it.
I have a feeling it’s my TV and Amp not talking well and HDMI switching altering the inputs.
