Amazon are selling both the remote and hub brand-new for £90.02 (if you click on 'new and used' section) , they will be back in stock on 2nd April.

Not the lowest price I've seen it but certainly a good deal as the price averages at £160 on camelcamelcamel.

i'm looking for just the hub so i can control tv, etc via the echo dot. It states in the description this is a v1 hub, anyone know what the latest version is?

V2 but I don't think there's a massive difference. I use a v1 with echo dot no problem. Bit of a mouthful to get activities started but works!!
Hot, this is less than the hub alone retails, I bought this at £115 last week which was a good price, wish I had waited now!

*Harmony Hub (v1) included requires firmware/software update for use with Alexa

Got both in the last deal. Hub 1 updates to latest firmware as part of setup and works great with Alexa
would this allow me to switch on a few devices at once with a single press?

Not a bad price for the Ultimate, but the Elite is infinitely better.

Yes. It takes a bit of set up but it walks you through it very well.

yes
set up activities.
Got it for £60 last week. No time machine sorry
Received mine yesterday from the 65 quid offer. Set up in no time and so much better than the 700 it has replaced. The button placement is going to take some time getting used to and why I was originally looking at the elite but the price difference was just not worth it.

Good luck to anyone using these, especially if you want it to work with Alexa, or a PS4.

I like to know how cheap items have been. Not everyone needs to buy now, I'd rather wait, no time machine required for that.
It's been around this price and lower in past few weeks. I bought 3 at £65 recently so mabey wait and see if it reduces again.

Is it? Please expand as I'm interested.

The Ultimate is an ergonomical nightmare. Feels so wrong in your hand. The Elite is worlds apart.

Not a reason to make this cold but it's good to know how much it's been in the past, we could see it at 60 again soon
I what does this do and why wouldn't I just use the sky remote? I have amazon echo.. should I invest in this?

Cheers just seen a bundle deal for the hub and dot for £115 which i'll go for, Q&A on there states the difference is just the latest firmware is pre-installed in the v2, though v1 will update to it anyhow.
Was about to vote cold when I saw £90 for a remote control, then glanced at first couple of comments about it working with alexa and now its in my basket.

What does it do exactly? Not used IFTTT yet but can I get it to do something like 'alexa, activate morning mode', so switch upstairs hues off, open downstairs curtains, turn on TV cbeebies, read out news and set my hive heating to 20 degrees etc?

This reply is getting so old it makes the Onkyo joke look like cutting edge wit.

If it's been £60 before then it is quite likely to be £60 again, so it's worth knowing.
Personally I couldn't stomach paying £30 more... so I'm glad when people say the price it's been previously...it means I'll wait for it to drop again.

Responses about time machines make people less likely to post previous prices...and makes this site that bit less useful.

I would advise people to avoid this model and wait for a good deal on the Elite instead.

Also what sort of price as currently there is a huge price difference of £150+
Are there really no apps that can now do what this remote can do? i find it hard to believe we still have to buy a remote to control things especially things over wifi?
Hi all I have the Logitech Harmony Companion Remote Control and wanted to know if I bought another one of these can you use two hubs on one app as I am thinking of putting one in the spare bed room for my tv and gaming systems ?

I love how the hub works with all my stuff. a couple of stupid problems with the hubs and inputs on the devices but there are work arounds as I had to program in the av inputs again even though the input selections where already in as the software would not let you put av input commands in the device start-up lists after a delay. some options are abit weird to figure out as there worded. sky would not come on sometimes and had to change the power delay by 1ms and its never done it again.

just remember there's a lot of testing involved to get some things working right, it took me a few days to get it right but once done I never touched it again and everything comes on.

and I use alexa to, I only use this to turn on and off things and use the sky remote to change channels to long winded using alexa

There are apps (Alexa, to name but one) which will replace most, if not all, of the functions. I suppose people buy these for the convenience - but it's a high price to pay, even at £60!

You make valid points. Being advised of a previous lower price can be useful especially if there is context, i.e."I bought it for £60 last week from xyz co. in a flash sale/ with vouchers/ with a discount code that is no longer available/ using staff discount/ etc." A comment like "Cold because I bought it for £60 last week" invites the time machine comments and is likely to put a valid deal poster off.

I think this site is primarily about the deals although the comments are very important

You can have more than one hub, but you can only use 1 hub with Alexa at the moment

What issue did you have with Alexa? I had a significant delay which was resolved by changing a router setting, and picking up new activities is a PITA as you have to disable and re-enable the link in the Alexa app
