If your voting it cold state why?

Its a good illuminated keyboard.
Cheapest around, unless you want a refurb!

Original Poster

I guessed it would be that.
But if your not in the market for an illuminated keyboard dont bother voting?!

Glad you found something you needed

]http//ww…als i can recomend this one although you can probably find it cheaper.

Voted hot.

I was looking to buy this a while ago but decided it was a bit pricey and funds were tighter, then when i decided to take the plunge it had gone up to £70ish. Still £69.99 at overclockers and £62.84 at Scan. This is a great price.

modern keyboards are mostly poor quality with rubber membranes regardless of how much they glow.
you'd do better to buy a second hand IBM model M which is mechanical.

~SNAP!

I saw it at £52.99 but there was no stock.

It has gone up in price to about £70 odd as you say, which really put me off.
I ordered with Amazon even tho it was a 1-3 week wait.

Then once i ordered they popped the price up to £69.98, but when they got mine in stock they put the price back down......

.....hence me sharing the deal here as i think its a good price IF you are after a very good illuminated keyboard.

Quite a nice keyboard, but for an extra £17 I think this deal posted earlier is a far better spec kb, and you also get a very high quality mouse.
]http//ww…tec
That said it's mainly for gaming!
This one would look good on a 'normal' pc!

Thats a good deal

All depends what you want really. I was after an illuminated keyboard. This was the only one i found that was decent value for money/quality

Complete CARP, sorry! it depends how much you spend - if you pay peanuts........
I've had my G15 for years now(since it was released) and it is used intensively over the years for gaming etc.
The keys are still as fresh and the letters haven't worn off (they cant, they are 'in' the keys rather than on.)
I have never had such a reliable kb - and wouldn't want to return to the clicky 90's garbage in premium 'cream' finish.

The g15 is illuminated too (3 levels of), has lcd etc and loads of macros. But as you rightly point out, it won't be to everyones taste/needs.
At the moment my sights are on their newest version.......

Paid £51 for this about 6 months ago on Play, surprised (pleasantly so!) to see the price has gone up since! It's a very nice keyboard, well worth the money if you're particularly interested in the illumination - I had a saitek illuminated keyboard previously and it was nowhere near as good.

Im still using my 1st generation of G15 keyboard. Still working like a charm and its been used extensively. The new version is looking mighty sweet though, so will probably buy that to replace mine as its getting dusty and abit dirty after using it for almost 4 years?.

£53 isn't that expensive for an input device that you use msot when using a computer. I always get top of the range keyboard and mice for home and the office because they are generally more comfortable and feels nice to use. It also helps if this amount of money doesnt really bother you, I spend £50 eating out.

you're not wrong, but in this price range you're approaching the cost of mechanical keyboards - whether cherry switch, alps, buckling spring or capacative switches - if you want quality then that's where you should head - a happy hacker, unicomp customiser, professional cherry keyboard etc.

As John McEnroe said many times...You cannot be serious!
You'll be telling us to upgrade our lcd's to the old green screeners next!

just wait until you type on them - surely with a keyboard the quality of the typing is more important than a usb hub or wireless / multimedia buttons?

I've been typing on mine for 4 years, and by the looks of it , the same letterzjhd I poress coasme Oits............maybe not lol!
BTW no offence meant , Im home, bored and have chicken pox at 35 so am a tad grumpy today....

I have this keyboard - got it in December for about £55. Personally I think it's great - if you want a non-gaming keyboard (by which I mean you don't want all the macro keys etc) but need the backlight, then I can recommend this. More like a (large) laptop's keyboard than a desktop one.

My only complaint is that this one doesn't include a (computer) sleep button. That and the Logitech software is rubbish (don't install it) but that's a given ;-)

Deal is warm for me, because it cost only a little more a little while ago, but heat given as it's currently the best price.

I got shut in the freezer last time I posted it for less:

15MIKEY

and get it for £45.04

hotukdeals.com/ite…ard

its expired but its back again!

I have to thank you too, Last time when I posted the deal I waited too long to see peoples responses (as you can see from the thread) did not realise it was a really good price and Comet had run out of stock! then Amazon went out of stock and went to £60 etc as you said. I saw this post and went back to mine to post here. So now quickly ordered off Comet, free delivery slot on Monday, bit if a wait but worth it:thumbsup:

Order Complete

Dont forget 3% quidco too!

Niz thank you!

Ordered again for that price, and thanks for the quidco heads up TechNet, i always forget.

Rep added to both of you.

Just as a heads up, on Comet's page it says the keyboard is wireless in the description, it isn't for anyone thinking of buying.

never really got the idea of a wireless keyboard - mouse yes - it makes a difference but keyboard - when do you ever move it from where it sits?

No probs!

Just checked this morning and my quidco has tracked at £1.35

19 Apr 2010 Comet 45.04 1.35 tracked

Just had my card charged and had confirmation email with Comet, £45.04, my quidco has also tracked at £1.35.

Can't complain at all for £43.69

Tracking order on Comet is a bit useless though lol -
