Seems to be a good deal, if someone likes a mouse with ball.

Ebuyer is selling this for £70.38.

Question, can you use the trackball to scroll the page up and down like the mouse wheel? Seems like a nice way of allowing you to still click whilst scrolling without removing your finger from the left-mouse button.

Also, seems a stupid question but what do you actually use the trackball for - how would this differ from using the actual mouse to move around (little confused by it's use).

The mouse has no optical sensor underneath, so moving the mouse around does nothing. Rolling the ball around moves the cursor instead. Not my cup of tea, but some people prefer these to a standard style mouse.
Great mouse. You'll never go back once you've used one.
MONKEH.. It also has a track wheel for scrolling.

That would make a lot of sense. I'm after a better mouse for work and I've had my eye on a trackball-style mouse.

I'm more interested whether you could use the ball to scroll too rather than only the wheel.

I believe all mice can do this? Press the wheel in and then you can scroll with the sensor (ball or otherwise)
Dirt magnet, my boss has it. I rather buy a inverted ergonomic mouse for much cheaper.

Easy enough to clean. Ball pops out n 3 sensors inside. A lot cleaner than a standard mouse n pad.
I use this mouse to explain bunions to my ageing colleagues....perfect in every way
Dr. Podiatrist
A foot in every pie...
Also good for desks with limited space, or for on the go.
I bought this in June when I started getting pains in my arm after using the conventional mouse I had. I assumed it was carpal tunnel. It took less than a day to get used to using it and within two weeks the pain was gone.
@M0nk3h I'm unsure if you can use the trackball for scrolling, but there's info here support.logitech.com/en_…AAA
Got one of these a couple of years ago when it was posted on here, wasn't sure if I'd like it but decided to take the chance and try it out. One of the best things I've bought, much prefer it to using a standard mouse.
Very good mouse

Depends what you're using it for. No good at all for fine movements (games, Photoshop, etc), or for long distance movements (eg multiple monitors), and awkward and slow for normal movements (browsing, etc). Not at all a substitute 95% of the time - it's much easier to move your hand to move a mouse than it is to roll a little ball with your thumb.

The exception is when watching a video or something that requires minimal mouse movement while not sitting up at the desk/table to use the standard mouse on a mousepad. The M570 is usable resting on your thigh or similar, and since it doesn't move, it doesn't need space in which to move. So pick up the M570, switch it on, push back your chair and enjoy the video.

But if I did that it would take even more effort to move across the screen. As it is, it takes 9 or 10 movements to get from one end of my two-monitor setup to the other. What you gain on the swings ...
