Looks a decent shape and size. I've been looking for an excuse to replace my trusty 10 year old+, MX500.

Some of the reviews mention scroll wheel reliability issues so I don't think I'll jump at it just yet. Thanks for posting!

Been using this mouse at work for the past 3 years. Decent mouse, no problems.

Love these...already got a backup for when my current one gives up. Tempted to get another now...great for zooming through documents. Tip top tip tip: adobe acrobat buffers the scroll wheel action (used to anyway) making freewheeling useless...so I use foxit reader now which doesn't.

i've been using one for a couple of years but i did have problems where the mouse stopped working which drove me nuts. it's been ok recently. i think something like my phone or apple watch was interfering with the usb dongle

I might be wrong, but I have two mice that look exactly (and I do mean exactly) like this one, and they cost around £9 each. They're branded TeckNet, and have performed perfectly in the couple of years I've had them. I'm wondering if this mouse is simply a case of companies stamping their brand on it and charging differing amounts?

I actually used to own the TeckNet one. I can tell you that the Logitech is far superior than the TeckNet in terms of the quality of materials used (plastic and rubber) and the quality of the side buttons. Also in particular, the mouse wheel is so much better than that of the TeckNet.
I would go as far as to say the M705 very closely resembles the MX Performance (which I also own for home use) in terms of build quality.

I'm a bit of a Logitech fan, but I'm still surprised to hear it's that much better....the TeckNet ones I have have been excellent performers. well I wonder if I should be tempted to pay the extra then. Dilemma time!

I had one of these until some regular batteries exploded inside and I upgraded to the MX Anywhere. Great little laptop/portable mouse and the battery life is really good. I can't recall if it's this one or the MX Anywhere but you have the option on one of them of one or two AAs in. Freescroll is also good.

Your batteries exploded in your mouse? Now I've heard of the occasional Samsung phone exploding, but never a mouse!

Did you buy the batteries from eBay or something? xD
Never heard that one before. You put a normal battery in and they last for about 3 years so...
MX Anywhere has a built in battery. Good thing you own it...

I think it's excessive moisture in the flat - all alkaline batteries get ruined in it, these were duracell - more leakage than explosion to be fair. On a positive note Duracell did offer refunds if the batteries leaked before the expiration date and you sent the destroyed item to them. That's how I got the mx.
