I have one of these but on windows startup it lags and freezes for ages on both Bluetooth and unifying hub. so I went back to a cheap wireless mouse

Can’t say that’s a common issue, mine and my team mate’s don’t have this issue.

This is the best most I’ve used for work/productivity, would recommend it.

It’s the best mouse I’ve ever used. I would not use any other mouse ever again. I was shocked at the price initially but once
I used it, I cannot use my Mac without it. It’s smooth, it’s fast and it’s so user friendly. Well done Logitech!

If this mouse doesm't eat batteries AND work on almost any surface without stuttering that would just about make it worthwhile for me
Oh, and is drop-proof, on carpet to be fair
Oh and doesn't have a button which is easy to press as you pick it up which takes you god knows where
    (Rechargeable batteries not allowed)

Drop proof is more important than I realised. Years of pc use and not really happened too much, but last year I dropped my marathon mouse on a tile floor from under a metre height and the battery compartment door lost its retention clip and the dreaded multi click started happening on the left click. Oh dear, maybe these high class mice are not as robust as simpler ones. I'm continually dropping it (at least once a week) on a thin carpetted and nothing has happened so far. It's inexcusable really I ought to clear everything off my desktop but it's all cluttered up with a load of 'essential' stuff

It would depend on which angle you would drop it and at what angle it hits the ground. What is also important is the velocity of the wind, weight of the mouse and gravitational force of the earth…

On a serious note, do you mistaken mouse with a ball that you drop it so many times or your old clumsy hands cannot hold few hundred grams that drop-proof is such an important feature? Stick with the old wired mouse or use trackpad.

Expecting this on the 31st now. I am going to be retiring my MX Performance mouse. I think I had this for 7 years.
