Ok, I'll have one of these netbooks and some speakers for £115 please! They sound great! Though quite how it's a replacement for a dedicated wifi radio...

Why buy a new telly, why don't you just spend £1800 on a 27" iMac... the skys the limit!

I shouldn't be rising to this, but where are these £99 netbooks? The only thing I can find is a Datawind thing and that's £150. I got a couple of Dell netbooks from the outlet for £150.. but I can't find anything new for £99.

Regardless, a PC is not the same as a dedicated wifi radio. If that's the case then I hope that you post this £99 + £15 nirvana solution to every HUKD deal on an iPad, an iPod, an ipod dock and any media streamer (like xtreamer, WD Live etc.) and see what the response is. Why bother spending £150 on a Denon tuner when you can listen to Radio 1 on a £99 netbook?

For the record, I've got a Squeezebox Boom, and it's great, the Squeezebox series of devices can use spotify using a plugin called DSBridge installed on a Squeezebox server.

Finally, HUKD is all about deals not whether you agree on the suitability of a product. If you can find the Squeezebox Radio for less than £115 then you can mark it cold.

Nice, though was a few pounds cheaper last week.

You can also get a refurb Revo Blik direct from Revo (via Play.com) for £60 which is a good buy and well reviewed.

I didnt vote it cold. And HUKD voting is about the price.

The comments section is free game to talk about anything in relation the the product.

This is a great piece of kit - i use it to connect to last.fm for free in the uk. I also has an light sensor which dims the back light when the lights go out.

It doesn't list the bbc on demand radio listing. Another thing to watch if your going to try to connect to your own music, you have to use the logitech software on your pc not upnp. As NAS servers become more popular this could become a problem - HUMAX have said that they will build one into their next PVRs which i persume will be uPNP.

When they say 'refurb Revo Blik', does that mean used or ex-display?

How good is the Logitech Squeezebox Radio for connecting to Hong Kong or Far East radio stations? Planning to get this for my Asian mate's Birthday. :gift: But it would be useless if it doesn't work

That is available as an App (they've joined the App Gallery craze.), the Apps can either run on your server or you can use Squeezenetwork if you've got access to the internet.

My NAS runs the Squeeze server software, lots of NASs support it officially or unofficially. Alternatively, you can upload your music on an online digital locker and use squeezenetwork online, again if you've got access to the internet. Squeezebox devices are no long reliant on a home pc/NAS running the server software.
