I have one and it does have a mic, but I still ordered a stand alone mic as it sounds much better.
Great camera though.
Hot price, I paid over £100 during lockdown.

That's a very good price. I have this camera and it's by far the best webcam I've used. I paid well over £100 for it and that was in the sale about a year ago.

Not specific to this webcam but to Logitech software in general. If you have an Apple Silicon Mac then this is probably worth a read regarding which software to use as it is quite confusing theverge.com/202…mac

What's the difference between this and a standard webcam? I don't get why you need one aimed at YouTube?

Main differences between generic ones and higher end ones will usually be:

1. Video quality (i.e. better sensor and lens)
2. Build quality (only important for those that travel a lot for business)
3. Control over the image output
4. Integration with other programs and apps
5. Additional features (integrated light, Windows Hello, conference mic etc.)
