This is quite a price drop on the UE Megaboom. Currently £170 - £220 (colour dependant on Amazon)
It gets great reviews and WhatHiFi gave it a tasty 5/5.
The blurb -
You’ve picked the perfect location - down at the beach, obviously - invited all of your friends and have a fridge filled with drinks. All that’s left now, is… music. Some cheap PC speakers won’t cut it though and your current portable speaker probably won’t survive a day at the beach. What you need is Ultimate Ears’ MEGABOOM. And believe us when we tell you it’s called ‘Mega’ for a reason.
If you thought the Ultimate Ears Boom was an impressive speaker, you’re not going to believe your ears when you turn on the MEGABOOM. With its maximum sound level of 90dBA and frequency range of 65Hz – 20kHz it won’t break a sweat filling an entire room with crystal clear sound. And don’t worry about the MEGABOOM turning off before the party’s over: its rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery lasts up to 20 hours between charges.
In perfect harmony
When you have two MEGABOOMs in the room, you can even connect them and have them work in unison. Simply hook them up through the UE MEGABOOM app (iOS and Android) and you’re good to go. The built-in Bluetooth makes it easy for anyone at the party to send their favorite songs to the speaker.
Also, that beach we talked about earlier? No problem whatsoever for the UE MEGABOOM. It can last in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes; you won’t have to worry about accidentally dropping it or spilling your drink. You can even give the speaker a good rinse after a party to clean it up.
