Wireless Notebook Mouse with a Dinky Receiver.

Currently on at a special price at Dell. However may not be suited to people with large hands (VX Revolution may be a better option). Appeals to me cause of the small USB Rec can be left plugged in permanently.

Welcome to HUKD!

Good price for the greatest mouse there is!

Hot and repped

Don't say anything about battery life. In my experience all wireless mice are a pain because they run out of juice when I need them most. I find wired mice more practical (and cheaper)

Oh you can get PC World to price match this, their price is £49.99, thats a difference of £24.40 giving an extra £2.44 off. Should be able to pick one up at around £23.15, if my calculations are correct

Stonking deal...battery life is excellent for these (I have one already...just bought another now!)

don't these mice come with a handy wee bag? sweet deal

There's an extra 4% available via quidco with dell, therefore that takes the dell price down to £24.85. Id imagine PCWorld will want to use their web/online price (£34.99) as the basis for giving 10% of the difference....if they do, there'll be diddley squat in it.

brilliant mouse and the reciever is so small that you cant notice it, and unfortunately i lost mine so if anyone knows where i can get another reciever i would appreciate it thanks. and battery life is very good on this.

Just make sure you don't reserve one online, and just take one off the shelves.

Then then have no option.

If the desktop VX revolution mice is of any indication
A single AA battery lasts for 2 months of constant usage. That's vastly superior to any wireless mice I have ever encountered.

nice one just ordered, thanks

But then you'd need to physically go to your nearest PCWorld... & *then* have to get them to do the price match...for the sake of saving a quid - is it worth it?

People forget to take into account fuel costs etc when trying to save the few pence or pound here & there.
I'd say, get it from Dell if you can live without for the time it takes to deliver......
Go to PCW for price match if you need it now

Nice mouse though, wish I had an excuse to 'lose' my VX220 so I could buy this.

lol thanks win2000b will give it a try! :w00t:

I have to say as mucha s I like VX mice, their frictionless scroll wheel will gets into friction problems in 6 months of usage or quicker than that because of filth and dirt, and many reports the rubber on the scroll wheel expanded and touching the inner housing making the scroll wheel entirely useless in frictionless mode (I presume the expansion is due to moisture acting on rubber, I haven't had this problem yet).

My VX is 6 months old and the wheel is certainly developing resistance and the scroll is now not uniform (faster in several quadrants than others).
Logitech does honour warranty even if you fail to provide them sales receipts I heard, however the postage expense is not covered. You can't take the mouse apart as it voids the warranty.

have had these mice on my personal and work laptops for nearly a year, gf has one too, best ever as long as you dont have big hands

Good Deal for a great mouse - using it now

Not very eco-friendly of logitech, how are you supposed to clean the scroll wheel then?

Why is this deal hot? I can understand people liking this mouse as a luxuy item, but surely you can get a decent bluetooth mouse for cheaper?

I cant image wheel issue being widespread. Logitech are implementing this technology in their entire range they sell millions of mice all over the world cant see them pushing this technology if the problem widespread. They give a three year warranty.

Additional cost!

Not to mention struggling with installing configuring BT Stacks, setup BT pairing, dealing with possible compatibility issues/future driver compatibility issues with OS upgrades. Broadcom/CSR driver support is awful on generic Bluetooth devices.

Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather have a this bespoke solution any day. Plug-in the Receiver run the CD and youre done, no hassle!

Nothing wrong with BT mice.

You can pick up a Microsoft BT mouse + BT receiver for less than this.

This is an excellent mouse

i am using one now. very sleek, programmable buttons etc plus a free spinning wheel.

Battery life - EXCELLENT. it warns you that they are low at least 2 weeks (full use) before they run out. A red light even appear on the thing itself.

The best and most worthwhile thing about this, is undoubtedly the tiny tiny usb wireless dongle (hence the "nano" moniker).

Bargain at this price.

I can still see it

I have one and its been fine for me.
Feels confortable too.

Only thing to note is that the scroll wheel does not act as a middle button like on most mice.
There is no way to program it either as there is no switch there.
(only a bit incovenient for AutoCAD etc)

You can program the 'flip page' button just slighty below the scroll wheel to be a middle button.

yep i know, its hard to explain but when using cad programs, usually use the wheel to zoom in and out, and push the wheel down to pan. No biggie, just thought i'd mention it
I set up the side scroll button to do it instead

I programmed the "zoom" button instead of the wheel press too. It works well.

Went to PC World to price match and it was a simple process. Good stuff!

Just plugged mine in and am using it already. Love the fact that it comes with a little bag cause I travel with either a laptop or a micro-ATX based comp. So, it'll be kept nice and scratch free. Also, there's a nice little usb extension port that was included in the pack - excellent! Surprised no-one mentioned it.

Thanks for a super deal - heat added.

is this better than MX 600 in another thread (keyboard+mouse)?

is this better than MX 600 in another thread (keyboard+mouse)?

Funnily enough, I just replaced an MX600 mouse with this one! I have the easycall desktop set and while I like the MX600 that came with the set, after switching to an MX1000 I had lying about, the difference was interesting, i.e. more responsive and nicer to hold.

So, it had been on my mind for a while about maybe buying a new mouse and that's where this deal came in! I'm so pleased because this VX Nano feels far more responsive like the MX1000. Maybe better. And while it may not be as wholesome as the MX1000 that triggered my mouse buying decision, it certainly does feel smooth and comfortable. It is a Logitech after all!

Hope this helps.
