Honestly its the proper VX revolution, there are only 2 and the nano is the other also on the PC world site. Just rang my mate whos at work down there and they are selling loads he said, prepare to see ebay flooded with these over the next week or so.

*edit, he just called me back it is the notebook one, I was thinking of the MX revolution.

thats still fine by me...will be calling in 2moro to collect mine

Logitech call this 'The ultimate notebook mouse' so are we settled on that? :whistling:

Might be larger than you think  - from ]here:

In fact, it's almost close to regular size - this is something I've been wanting in a laptop mouse for a while. After all, how much space can you save by making a mouse too small? Furthermore, it's pretty much necessary that the VX Revolution was regular-sized, due to the number of buttons/controls on it. [/LEFT]

no doubt its an excellent price hene voted hot for this straight away
but not sure if its the one for me ... being a notebook mouse. Have reserved one and will check it out in store tomorrow before I buy
thanks OP!

I have this mouse, and I have to say, its DEFINITELY the best best mouse I have ever used!
Its really comfortable to use and has loads of buttons which can be assigned to do pretty much anything.

The hyper scrolling is really good, and you'll start using it a lot, especially if you do a lot of web surfing.

Once you get this mouse, you'll probably realise how much of an improvement it is over the usual cheap ones most people pick up cheap from PC World!

I use it a lot, and I can safely say its NOT too small to use on a regular basis.

If anyone has any other questions about this mouse, feel free to ask me.

It uses a smaller reciever than the full size Logitech one, but it's a lot larger than the tiny one used by the Nano.

Still a very good mouse/deal.

Was tempted at that price, cheapest i've seen it. Bought this one couple of months back for £22 play.com/PC/…tml

Main thing putting me off though is the receiver is far too big for use with a laptop, I can leave my bluetooth dongle in and not notice it :-P

VX Nano receiver looks far better but the build of the mouse doesn't look as good and it costs more :-(

Garma Garam.

Fantastic mouse and a great price - I got mine from Amazon for about £25 a few months ago

It is not a small small mouse and is only slightly smaller than a normal full size mouse and can easily be used for everyday use. I use mine on my desktop/media PC - I have set it up so that I can use it on KMPlayer - it will fast forward/rewind, move to next/previous chapter/playlist item, change the aspect ratio, change the brightness, change from full screen to windowed and change the volume all with just the buttons on it. The software that comes with it is great.

Also it doesnt use rechargable batteries but single AA battery should easily last 6 months to a year depending on volumeof use - as it auto turns off if unused for a period of time.

I highly recommend this mouse to anyone and as its generally 50-100% cheaper than the MX a much better option IMO.

Excellent mouse voted hot!

Hot - Ordered!

fantastic price

I got this mouse from eBuyer for £22 ish... great value at the time, even better value now!

It's a great mouse, you get really used to the smooth scrolling... only problem was that the mousewheel came loose, but Logitech replaced that quickly.

Cracking deal - ideal with my AAO sat on my laptray

Good mouse but struggled to get the drivers working with Vista Business - Heat added though

good price. heat added

Just been to pick mine up, loads in stock and they are the normal size, not the notebook ones. Excellent mouse for a bargain price. Cheers to OP:thumbsup:

don't forget quidco!!

Have one of these mice...and they are great.
Definitely suitable for everyday use.

Hot deal.

I bought this about 6 months ago and if it's the same one as the picture, then it's the size as a normal mouse. I love it. The side ways scroll is a life saver. Heat Added!

is this too small for desktop use ?

Any good for gaming?

It's a bargain but I've been using this Razer for years and it's just like the day it was bought. Not such a bargain if I already have a perfectly good one to use

Just to clarify,

When you say "not the notebook ones", I believe there's only one size of the Logitech VX Revolution, unless they gave you a Logitech MX Revolution for the same price?? That would be even more of a bargain! :w00t:

But I think you just meant it's bigger than your average notebook mouse

Got one for my sister, about time she moved on from that ancient wired ball mouse...

Thanks to the OP for the price, heat added!

Any suggestions which is the best of these? I'm partial to an occasional session of counter-strike, and my current mouse has gone a bit bananas.

Either of the Logitechs would serve you well - I know many who use both and swear by them.

I got its bigger brother and to be honest I'm not that impressed with it, I much preferred my MX700, but it broke

Sorry to be a total n00bster when it comes to mice... but, are these bluetooth compatible or via some other USB receiver?

I ask because i've got a macbook and I have a wireless keyboard which runs off bluetooth.

I am currently in the market for a mouse and im looking at the Microsoft 5000 as was posted earlier on this site (play.com).

Which one and why?

Wireless on this is RF technology I believe, so not compatible with bluetooth.

This one is better quality I reckon, & probably has a smaller (to much smaller) USB receiver too. If you notice, one of the ]MS 5000 reviewers wasn't too happy with the receiver's size!

Forgot to say thanks earlier so ...thanks

Sorry, should of mentioned that I was looking at ]this mouse on play. Its only got two reviews, both seem good.

Dammit, hate it when this happens.

Cheers btw

p.s. do you think there will be any problems if I go with the logitech and use the USB receiver on a USB hub? Or do I need to connect it directly to my Mac's primary USB port?

thanks, ordered one!
