I wanted to replace my G5 with the Logitech G9X. Perhaps the Mamba is a better choice as I'm a stupid leftie. Vomit inducing price though

I bought this about a month ago from Amazon, I think I paid around £21.00

Is this rechargeable i.e does it come with its own rechargeable dock ?

i use the microsoft sidewinder very smooth and fast for gaming, but not wireless

nope it is not rechargeable, as this is the vx which is designed to use on laptops, so for more portabillity they use normal battery's, however the battery's last eons in it had it about 18 months and have used 1 set of batterys (2x aa's) if memory serves me correct.

I have an MX at work but it was 50 quid, Bought one for home,

MX is the best mouse ever. The picture is misleading, the VX has not got the wheel at the side. Good deal for the VX though, but I still prefer and use the MX though.

OP please change the picture is very confusing with that picture.

what does the side wheel do? I've never found a use for it.

I've got a version of this mouse with a small nano receiver with my Dell XPS laptop, have to admit it's the best mouse I have ever owned

If you're running Vista (or I assume Windows 7), the side scroll button replicates the [Windows]+[Tab] function - like [Alt]+[Tab] only you get a stack of windows that you can scroll through, rather than just a window with icons.

I define it as forward/back for web browsers and the buttons as app launcher for things like launchy.

Get the nano, the widget is tiny and can left plugged in

For games is quite handy, You can configure the wheel so when you press forward it open map, backward inventory, when you press the whell something else, so basically you get an extra 3 buttons in your mouse very useful for RPG games in my view

For browsing you can use it to zoom in and out

i guess asandino did not force refreshing the browser, in which case the browser is still using the picture in the buffer. it looks fine to me now, cheers

I bought it from PC World. I don't know if it is me to just the design, It put so much stress on my hand. I can't use it for more than 5 minutes.

Anybody wants it? I can sell mine for 10 pounds. 8 out of 10 condition.

yeah , I got this mouse m505 and the k340 keyboard , only need 1 nano which is left plugged in all the time.

Edit - although the mouse does not have the extra buttons , all depends on what you need it for.

Must agree with the nano, best mouse I have used, love it to bits, battery lasts forever, works on any surface without a mat, but I have never tried this mouse, but it also looks good

What is the cheapest price on the nano just now, I am looking for another one ? :w00t:

nothing wrong with the VX, had one for about a year now, 1 x AA battery, i use recharagable's in it anyway, ( no docking station, like the original MX1000)

didn't have the mx with a 2nd wheel when i bought mine happy with the buttons, old skool :P

I've had one over a year and after quite a bit of use is still working perfectly and batteries last for ages .... best laptop mouse I've had by a long way.

What do you guys think of this dvd.co.uk/Hw/…178

The pic is a VX

I've been using a Razer Copperhead for the last 18 months for gaming and it's been superb. This looks like a relatively decent deal though.
