Have these attached to my Samsung T240HD 24 inch DTV and the sound quality is excellent for the price, certainly much better than the inbuilt speakers.

If they are plugged into the TV headphone socket then the volume can be controlled from the TV remote.

Come with a standard stereo jack , headphone socket and input for mp3 player etc.

good price for logitech stereo speakers, a few pounds more gets you 2.1 speakers from play.com but this is available in store. Have some heat.

The Tesco listing isn't clear, are these mains powered?

It also clearly states 'Integrated Amplifier - No'. Can't both be true.

Logitech's site doesn't say, Amazon reviews don't say. What's so wrong about asking someone who actually has them? Isn't that what discussion forums is all about? I still don't know if they're mains, battery, usb, passive or hamster powered. ;-)

they're mains powered.

DAMN IT, just went to tesco and they want me to pay collection even. What the ****, the deal is not hot, as it comes out at £15 no matter what way you try to get it. Anyone have a trick like the sim card thing.

Thanks for that shame there is no stock down here unless I drive 30 miles :x

P.s PC world haven't had these in stock in weeks

I bought a set of these speakers a few months ago (last time they were on offer for this sort of price at Tesco Direct). I'd say they're pretty good - well worth a tenner. One thing, though, they're bigger than I expected - about 24cm tall by 10cm wide.

Mains powered and have had a pair for years. In my humble opinion they are not that great - the cheaper Logitech S150 sound better. Very flat sound, voice unclear, no bass - I use my cheap Sony headphones for mucho better sound quality from my PC when I can. Paid about £12.00 I think when I originally bought them and was thoroughly disappointed.

The above is my personal experience and especially with audio - is completely subjective.

I checked my local Tesco last night and the were £19.99.
