Does anyone know if these will take a 3.5 jack outlet from an N95 phone?

if you mean do they plug into a 3.5mm jack then yes!

Fantastic deal!

A good upgrade for anyone uses the cheap speakers that often come bundled with manufactured PCs.

Will connect to any MP3 player and phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack input/adaptor.

I have the X230 model and they are very good too. That model can be had for £24.89 from Amazon, which is a good price too. They shake the house!

Just be aware that these speakers have integral wiring and therefore are not suitable for eg( as we wanted) to run them through the TV unit to power up our TV. otherwise the sound is fab

Great little speakers and smaller than I expected. Bass is very strong so max sure the soundcard sound has an equaliser.
NOTE: They were also this prices at staples a few weeks ago - were I got mine.

I went for these speakers and was prompted to apply for Amazon Mastercard, which I did. Application was successful and £15 credit (gift) applied straightaway

However, I am actually charged only £2.36 (inc FREE supersaver delivery) !!!

Are there any drawbacks with the Mastercard, fees, minimum age, credit rating that you saw please edi...?

15.9% APR, No fee and obviously, a good credit rating is needed. Application approved instantly and £15 credit applied to the order. However, they do say that if you dont use the card within 90 days, they'll claw back the £15 credit. Fair enough I guess

seems that too many people have applied for the credit card

still approving applications however you cannot use voucher straight away

you now have to wait for your card to arrive

Nice, it takes the discount off the ex-VAT price, making it worth £17.62

how many inputs can you hook up to these speakers at once?

my current yamaha speakers have 2 headphone jack inputs, i need at least this (3 would be brilliant) as i use for my tv, PC and xbox360

My current setup is great, with 2x mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm inputs but they are past their best now, with flakey wiring (they are old)...

ciao.co.uk/Yam…428

apologies edi

it does take the £15 off

it seemed to tell me it didn't but i added item to basket and logged onto account

only shows discount on the final screen before confirmation

i.e. you input all your payment details etc and then it shows the £15 discount

thanks edi:thumbsup:

What do you mean by that?

These are a rip off when you can buy much, much better speakers for 5 pounds more: amazon.co.uk/Log…EA6

Voted cold.

other than 3 watt increase- what is the fundamental difference between the x210 and x230 (other than £5!)
the x210 have wired remote and x230 dont?

Why is this being rated such a good deal?

You have always been able to get these for £20 @ ebuyer:

ebuyer.com/UK/…472

:?

because with the £15 discount credit card thing u get them for £2.36:)

ok ---> suppose thats a good deal

should state that in title, still

Not even the ]Logitech site lists the inputs in the specs or even gives you a picture of the back of it to see the inputs!

looks like you'll have to wait for someone who has this set but from my experience of Logitech's basic 2.1 sets is that at best you'll get a 3.5mm input with a stereo phono (R/L - red/white) connection and the very slight chance of a second 3.55mm input. There is also a headphone socket on the remote control.

How much better are the x230's?

Banned

The difference is staggering, if you look at both you'll notice the x-230's have four drivers while the latter have a total of two which means you'll be getting less quality oozing out of the speakers.

I have these, they were the same price elsewhere a year ago

i have the x230 which I got for £20 when the google ten pounds off deal was going They are fantastic much better than I thought they were going to be. The bass is pretty meaty considering the price. I haven't heard the x210s but anyone buying the x230s won't be dissapointed

Haven't had my Amazon credit applied automatically, application seemed fine though.

Just had my speakers delivered and they sound really good.Well worth the £19.99

Just to add this ,Thanks to Edi who put it on here .

can u connect these to a tv?!

Can connect to PC / Ipod .. not sure about TV

What model is your TV, roadie? It depends what your TV outputs are but it's almost certain that you will be able to somehow

I have a little 14" portable CRT in the room and the speaker keeps going quiet so I just used an spare pair of Altec Lansing speakers I had and hooked them up via the headphone jack. Now the volume fading problem is gone and it also sounds a lot better! The little TV is only mono but the speakers have a phono input too, which I connect my DVD player up to for stereo sound when I'm watching a DVD

Can anyone who now has these speakers confirm what inputs it has? Thanks

I assume it will have a 3.5mm jack as a minimum but it's also probably all it has.

2 likely options depending on your TV:

1. You can connect the speakers via the headphone jack - this is usually located on the front of most TVs though so can look a bit untidy - but if you have a bigger TV (with a bigger socket) you might need a 1/4" jack to 3.5mm jack adapter.

2. Check the back of your TV for phono outputs (red/white sockets). If you have this you can get a 3.5mm jack to 2 phono adapter cable unless the speakers have phono inputs (unlikely) and this is a more tidy solution.
