Keekoh, I think you mean the x530 which is in PC world for the same price. This is the x540 which is a model up. In addition to the x530 features it has a "Matrix Mode" that trys to convert 2.0 to 5.1. It also has metal grills on the speakers and looks a bit smarter :O)

Excellent Speakers, for this price. bought them year back for £40.

Title could do with a bit more detail?

Are these loud? and are they 3.5mm

whoa...wierd...who changed (improved) my post?!

Thanks who ever it was..

Would just like to add to this thread that I reserved these online and bought these from my nearest Comet (Silverlink RP, Newcastle) on Saturday after seeing the other thread.

Upon arriving at the store the shop assistant kept me waiting 25 mins just to find out that they weren't in stock. Yeah I know...what else is new. I then asked if I could have the display model, as they had 2 display models available, an option the assistant didn't even propose to me. This was fine, so I took the display speakers, and at a £10 discount. At this point I was very happy.

However, when I unpacked them I noticed the bass sub speaker had a big dint in it, and also that all cable(s) to connect it to my PC were missing. One very important thing to note here is the bass speaker is on the underneath of the sub woofer unit pointing towards the floor, and is completely exposed, with nothing at all covering it. Very easy to damage! I took the speakers back yesterday and got a refund after they weren't willing to swap for the other display model.

What did I take from this? Don't bother reserving anything at Comet. Comet's service is friendly but shambolic. The bass speaker for this speaker system is very easy to damage.

This speaker system is fantastic and this price not to be missed cheers OP

I got these from the exact same comet 3 days ago.Glad I bagged them when plenty in stock. They have been absolutely perfect. Better than I thought too as I can link to my TV, PS3 and have 'virtual' surround sound with the matrix mode.
