There might be some feedback on the device from when it was last posted at £59.99ish I believe. Can't provide any links on the app unfortunately

I've tried these out in store at Costco and wasn't impressed with the volume level. It wasn't possible to determine sound quality, but they certainly seemed too quiet, even when cranked right up.

Not necessarily the same situation but I have them on my desktop PC, have had them for about a year now. I use them with Netflix all the time and I use them at around 30% volume probably. If I'm listening to Spotify and turn them right up I can hear them all over the house (fairly big three story detached). There is a decent amount of bass but it's probably not bassy enough for people nowadays who think bass is everything. It's very tight though whilst remaining boomy, it definitely isn't muddled at all.

Basically, I really like them and am glad I didn't go with a 5.1 system for a similar cost as they really skimp on the parts, whilst going for the numbers game (5.1, high wattage) when these really aren't things you should be looking for at this price range.

Maybe they're *ok* for this price. Never for £100 though. If you're serious about sound and have a little more space, go for decent speakers and an amp or AV receiver. Used, you can get a Cambridge Audio A5 and a couple of Wharfedale 9.0s for this money. A little more gets you 9.1s. Logitech make good accessories, but they certainly don't specialise in audio.

I feel you my friend, the Z-2300 were the best!

I have these mounted in my arcade machine. They sound great. Nice big rotary volume control with bass dial and headphone socket too.

...and a backbone.

I just bought these to replace a Logitech Z4 setup, the main reason I went for them is because I prefer having a separate control pod rather than the controls on the speakers and I wanted it for my desktop PC so not interested in 5.1.

I'm surprised about the complaints about the lack of power as I find there's plenty for my use, the previous system was the same rated power and I never used it at more than half power. I'm not keen on the control pod though, on the Z4's it had a separate power button with the aux in and headphone ports on the front. With these ones you have to turn the dial to switch it on and there's no indicator to show the position either. I did try using the older control pod as it's the same connector and functions but annoyingly no go.

The subwoofer is an odd design as it's a tall cylinder and the diameter is much smaller than the previous one, it still seems to give a decent amount of bass but you seem to feel it rather than hear it. I find the speakers work well, feels like there's more detail to them than the previous ones.

I'm kicking myself as I found the previous system was absolutely fine, it was just a dodgy cable...only found out after I was past the point of no return unpacking the new one.

Nice alternative for the same money if you don't want a sub.
